Went For A Drive

Tom and I went for a drive the other day.

We test drove a convertible.
Man, they are fun!

You can see so much more with the top down.
You can hear and smell
 all kinds of things, too.
Especially, when you take the back roads,
 out in the country.

While driving, hair blowing everywhere,
I spotted this clothes line on a little farm.

This is THE most colorful laundry I've ever seen.

Yup, you can see a lot more in a convertible.

We ended buying that car.
And a hat, too!
Now, we are a two car family after
several years of sharing one car.

(We named her Dorothy,
which means, a Gift of God,
 but we call her Dot for short)

Looks like I might have a company when I go for a drive.

~~~***~~~
"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides for us with everything for our enjoyment."
  1. I rode just once in a convertible that belonged to my brother-in-law. He had broken a large bottle of aftershave in the back seat of the car and driving with the roof down was the only option. Otherwise he, my sister and I wouldn't have been able to breathe!
    I am loving that little car of yours. Enjoy it! I can see others in your family will be. (And you are right, you do see a lot more with the roof down. But oh the hair!)
