Coronavirous  Has Hit Close To Home

Tom and I had plans to visit our three grandchildren, who live in Seattle.
But sadly, we canceled our visit.

We have family that live in the neighborhood,
where the outbreak of the virus, has taken lives.

Tom and I aren't fearful,
just cautious and are waiting to see how this will playing out.
before we head over.

Huxley is now 7 months old.
He sits up and has 5 teeth.
All this happened since we last saw them.

Trey is 7 years old
Scarlett is 4 years old

Trey won 1st place in sparing and 3rd in Kara forms.

Scarlett loves to swim and can't wait
to get in the pool.

Scarlett has been writing me the cutest letters!

This is the before and after the 1st Haircut for Huxley!

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

In the meantime, we are pumping all kinds of good vitamins into our bodies.

We found that the chewable vitamin C is really easy to take.
Especially, when we are taking a lot of them.

We are pretty good about washing our hands, but we've
added hand sanitizer to our routine, followed by hand lotion.

Being disappointed about not visiting our family,
Tom and I jumped into our RV and headed out for a night.

Nobody was around us!

The weather was clear and somewhat warm.

Warm enough to take Banjo for some long walks.

It was his first time traveling.

Once Tom built the fire, we warmed up nicely.

The glow of the fire, makes such a great picture.

  1. AWW! so sorry you and Tom had to cancel, I always go with caution, like you'll we are not panicking, just being careful!
Your grandchildren are so precious, and growing so fast, congratulations on all their accomplishments!
Dh and I love drives out in the country, though we live in the country we never tire of seeing other country folk's places, and how nice you had a bonfire, I just love dates like this.
Give that adorable Banjo, a hug from me.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  2. I just read that the CDC advised older people (and they consider OVER 60 old!) should be careful about being around large crowds.

  3. Hi Christine~

I'm so sorry that you weren't able to visit your family, better safe than sorry though. You have such beautiful grands! What a good little athlete to win those awards! That little Huxley is adorable with that cute crooked smile, I'll bet you just want to eat him up when you see him!

Your overnight trip looked fun! I can hardly wait to get the trailer ready to go somewhere. And, Banjo looked like he was having a good time as well, he is adorable!

The Coronavirus makes me nervous, but not panicked, I think we just need to use our common sense, wash our hands, eat healthy and carry on. I do plan on staying away from big crowds, especially if I see someone coughing or blowing their nose, that kinda scares me. One of my readers told me that it was detected in Utah and so the governor declared a state of emergency there. I hope it stays there, but I'm afraid it will be here as well. I love that scripture - we truly do just need to be strong and trust in the Lord.

    Have a wonderful week-end!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  4. Sorry you had to cancel your trip, but better safe than sorry. I have always washed my hands a lot so it's no different now. Hand sanitizer and lotion is a good idea. Hopefully you will be able to see those adorable grands in person soon! What cuties they are, When I saw Trey I remembered how you took care of him when he was little. He's not so little anymore.

  5. I hope you are able to see your new grandbaby soon! Darling grandchildren, every one!

Banjo is soooo cute! And isn't it amazing how many people don't have many of the sanitizing products already? My daughter was saying...So you they don't care about spreading flu and cold normally?

Dr. Mercola has a good article on the virus. We're being careful but not panicked as well.

    Take care, loved your photos!
