The Traveling Drapes

I'm not big on showing Before and After
 pictures of my projects, however.....

This is what I've been up to lately.

Our bedroom has "new" curtains.
This is the after picture.

There is a story about these curtains.

The picture below is from 2011.
We lived in a bigger home.
The picture is showing
our living room, made into our dining room for
Thanksgiving.

Look carefully at the curtains....

They are the same ones I used in our bedroom!
Yup, I saved them.

Do you remember how
 Drop Cloth material was so popular back then?
That is what these are,
 Drop Cloth,  I sewed into drapes.

 Hey, Kimmy!
Remember, how we loved it when I reversed the dining and living rooms?

Well, we moved a couple more times.
Drop Cloth Drapes were put away.

Then we moved into our current home.
Our new bedroom came with green drapes.
I never liked them but they were there, so I kept them.

I did a post, showing how I added lace to the windows for privacy.

It was ok....

  But then I got tired of the green.
So, down they came.
Leaving just the blinds.
Which I really didn't like!

Tom got a new drill for Christmas
and is now very happy to assist with my
ideas and whims.
Down came the blinds.

Up went the Drop Cloth drapes.
Along with new cordless blinds.

Our bedroom is where I write my blog posts.

I'm always finding love notes and surprises
that are left for me by my grandchildren.

 The other night I turned down the bed and
found this note under the covers

Before and After

~~~~***~~~~
"Fear the Lord, you his saints,
for to those who fear him have no wants.
Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you how to fear the Lord."
Psalm 34: 9 & 11
