Anniversary Gift - babysitting

 Mark and Kimmy celebrated their
7th Wedding Anniversary today.

I gave them the gift of babysitting.
Kimmy & Mark went out to a quiet brunch and
some alone time.

 We played!

 We started out playing "train".
Laundry baskets are some of the best toys.

I was busy!
First time with all three awake and running around.

Baseball bat, turned into some sort of instrument.

Dress-up wedding veil was a game of peek-a-boo.

Quiet time was spent in the laundry baskets.
We all had fun!

Happy 7th Anniversary
Mark and Kimmy.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this,
that he lay down his life for his friends.

Thank you to all the men and women
who have and are serving
our country.

~ Morning view, on my way to work ~

James 1:12
"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test
he will receive the 'crown of life',
which God has promised to those who love him."

Garage Sale

When Tom and I moved out of our home last January,
we left behind a lot of "stuff".
Lots of stuff.
After we downsized, purged, gave away and threw away,
there was stuff still left behind.
So I donated it all to our daughter,
Kimmy, when she moved in with her family.

 Kimmy has a wonderful mother-in-law
who knows all about Garage Sales.
And how fortunate for me, I know nothing about them.
It was decided the stuff had to go!

Connie

Connie, Queen of the Garage Sales
step in and helped Kimmy put on this event.
(Yes, it was an event)
She sorted, labeled, packaged, placed and
smiled all week.
Connie put out colorful signs and ran ads.
When the crowds came Connie shined!
This lady can sell an Eskimo ice!
She got up early to set up and stayed late to clean up.
When she drove away to the Goodwill,
 she was still smiling!

(hand painted by Kimmy when she was young - PRICELESS)

 I like "Ike" earrings

I bought these earrings when I was about 10 years old
at my first visit to a garage sale.
(Kimmy ended up keeping them.)

I came to help by playing with these two cuties.

Boxes are soooo much...

FUN!!

This small box was a perfect place to
study a Potato Bug.
Lulu and Levi named it Spud Ball.

Thank you Connie and Kimmy for helping me
depart with the "stuff" that needed to be gone.

What's Up?

                                                           New roof !

Fifth and final floor of the new apartment across the street.

Flowers...

and more flowers.
I don't know much about our new garden.
It always a surprise to see what pops out.

Lots of bees.

"Volunteers" from last summer.
These are Marigolds that surrounded my tomatoes and reseed themselves.
Still to cool to plant my tomatoes.
Maybe next weekend.

The Other Day At The Cottage

I spotted something from the corner of my eye.

 Yup, a rabbit!
I have seen a rabbit hopping quickly out of the garden.
This time he posed.

I even got a close up of this cutie.

I thought I'd show you how fast the apartment building is going up
across the street.

April Showers Brought out the Flowers

This is the first Spring in our Cottage.
It's exciting to see what flowers pop out and
all the colors.

Of course we added some color of our own.

I had to have some pink so I can
drop off a bouquet for Lulu, once in awhile.

Now, if we can just get a little more sun.

Welcome May!
