Quick - Grab a broom!

This is weird but true!
When I first heard about this from Betsy over at My Five Men, I thought it was a trick.
I was at work and remember the broom idea. It didn't work there. When I came home and showed my husband & daughter, I couldn't believe it. So I took a picture!
Sure enough it stands on it's own!
If you want to try it, hurry. The gravitational pull won't last long.

To keep was paper form curling up or slipping around when rolling a pie crust, wipe the counter top with a damp cloth or sponge before placing the was paper on it. The moisture will keep the paper flat and prevent it from sliding.

  2. OH my word!! I had to give it a try... and it's true. I took picures, too! It took me a few tries, my broom is sorta worn out...I could really feel the so called pull.

Aubrey was not impressed. Kinda scared her, but she's one. Yea, now if it would only sweep away on it's own. That would really be cool!

  3. Hey! Isn't it just the weirdest feeling to see your broom standing like that!? Crazy! Ours stood there for hours until we put it away. I need to try it again before it's too late!

  4. Bevy,
My husband is with Aubrey (not impressed) and he isn't one.
Have you tried it with anything else, other then a broom?

    I don't mind at all.
So, you tried an egg! I'm going to try that!

  7. You sure do have an interesting blog! I find myself learning all kinds of new things. I did visit your daughter's blog, and I really enjoyed hers also. I am thankful I discovered both of them, and I am going for my broom.

  8. I'm going downstairs to give this a try. I wonder if I can make it sweep all by itself too.

Thanks for visiting my blog - you were my first commenter.

  9. Christine,
Mine are always leaning up against the wall and falling down on the dogs or me... Maybe if I try your trick we won't have to worry about being hit by brooms anymore!
