Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day

"Let's take care of each other by showing compassion, concern and love."

For several years I have been secretly dropping notes of encouragement in mailboxes to teachers and staff members. Each year I buy note cards with a decorative boarders and print up the award. I got the idea from fellow bloggers, who hand out Blogger Awards to each other. This is such a sweet way to recognize someone.

I thought it would be fun to hand out an "award" and have it show up in randomly in school boxes. I keep a list of who has received an award . My goal is to have each staff member receive at least one, during the school year.

So far nobody has caught me or questioned me, (please don't tell !).
It's fun to see them hanging up near their desks or on a wall.

I had to sneak around and take these pictures.

Join me on February 17th in some sort of Random Act of Kindness. Be sure to let me know what you did and to whom.

Romans 12:10 (New International Version)
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves

John 13:34-35 (New International Version)
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

1 John 4:12 (New International Version)
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

  1. That's great, I had no idea that there was a specific day for this. I knew that there is Donut Day or as we call it around here, Faschnut Day - on the 16th! ;)

I Love this idea of a Random Acts of Kindness day.

Proverbs 3:27 says... "Don't withold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act".
