After reading the book, A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle,
I was inspired to create my own little Provence.
So this is my Provence.
We created this room by taking a small part of our two car garage.
We created this room by taking a small part of our two car garage.
The cabinets are from our kitchen remodel several years ago.
I have a long counter top that I use all the time. It's like a Butler's Pantry.
At one end is an office area.
The ceiling is painted a dark sky blue, walls are sunflower yellow and the trim is off-white.
All the colors of Provence!

Oh what fun, Christine! I really enjoy that book -- have you see the movie series of it? It's great.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great way to bring a little south of France to your own part of the world.
I love that colour combo of yellow and blue... have lots of it around my own home. Probably because of Provence too.
Happy Weekend, B
I love that room! It's adorable and so nice to have your own little getaway.
ReplyDeleteChristine, that room looks so very cheerful! I love things that make you smile just to see them. Which would add the way you sign your initials! The heart just seems to match you.
ReplyDeleteChristine,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and useful room! Does it have a name... Provence perhaps? Your room is so neat and organized! Love the cheery yellow!

What a wonderful added space to your kitchen! I love, love, love the colors. I'll be checking out the book, too.
ReplyDeleteThat yellow is just beautiful! If you get a chance, visit my blog... we are in much need of prayer for my sis and her dear family who lost their 5 1/2 month old baby boy.
ReplyDeleteI wanna see the blue ceiling!!! Love how happy the room is.
