Survivor!When I walk out of this building, I noticed this Marigold surrounded by cement.
I was surprised and pleased that it grew in this awkward place.

ReplyDeleteWow!! What a beautiful, yellow-petaled soldier. :) Thank you for your prayers for my soldier/friend. He and Kenny get to "Skype" to keep in touch since right now he is in Indiana training before he heads to Afganistan (2 months stateside, 10 overseas if it doesn't get extended). Danielle is doing well. She and her brother renovated the basement of their Mom's house to make her own little apartment. She will live there for the year. I haven't been there but in pictures it looks really cute. And I know it really helps her to be home (but have her own space, too).

ReplyDeleteAren't simple pleasures just wonderful? I loved all of the grandma quotes and pictures of Levi. Our little boy should be arriving in the next couple of weeks, and we are ready! I will be getting to enjoy all of the wonderful grandma memories for the first time, and hope Tom is still recuperating very nicely. He is in my prayers. Jackie

ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about this lately - the whole "bloom where your planted" thing- even if it's tough and next near to impossible. Even if it feels like "I'm the only one" in this "mess" (I'm not in a mess, mess - but a beautiful mess of mothering). You know.. what I'm saying?
