I drove around last weekend enjoying all the Fall leaves.
I have a friend in Texas, who use to live in our neighborhood
and moved several years ago.
I know she misses the Pacific Northwest, so this is for her.
It's my simple pleasure for Shannan.
Dayle , over at A Collection of This and That,
is hosting Simple Pleasures.
Please join us every Thursday.
What beautiful pictures. I love this time of year. Joining you at Simple Pleasures.
ReplyDeleteChristine, one of my favorite simple pleasures has always been, and always will be, the turning of the leaves. Just magnificent!
ReplyDeleteYES!! How lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI too have been enjoying photographing this beautiful fall season. Last year we had just moved home (away from the city, where it's just NOT THE SAME!!) and I was busy settling in and not yet a blogger...I think having my next post in mind helps me not only see the beauty in things, but also to take advantage of more "photo ops." :)
I traveled to Texas in August a few years ago and it was a lot of SCORCHED earth!!
There are wonderful things about every place to live but I would miss New England's seasons very much.
Although, I do say that if it only snowed on Christmas day (and just enough to carpet the yard) that would be enough for me. :)
BLESSINGS!!!
Truly beautiful photos! Autumn trees are one of my favourite things about seasonal changes. The colours are magnificent-pale reflections our our Creator! blessings..Trish
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful, Christine!
ReplyDeleteMade me think of the verse from Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that man is without excuse.
By the way, the comment you left about your apples made me laugh out loud! So funny! :)
Blessings!
I'm loving it too! The colors this year seem more spectacular, or I'm just appreciating them more.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you to post this for a friend and we get to enjoy in the process as well. These photos are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeletesuch wonderful photos of the fall colors.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing them for us as well as your friend.
Hope your having a blessed day!
Cindy
It's so wonderfully odd to me that week after week a few Simple Pleasures posts line up with one theme. One week it was time. Another week, it was mercy to others. Every time, it's something that I really need and want to hear.
ReplyDeleteThis week, I was sort of grumbling about our lack of fall foliage in these parts. Lo and behold, I have been treated to some of the most gorgeous scenes in blogland this morning.
You and the other fall tree folks have given me such a simple pleasure this morning.
I thank you!
love the pics...the trees with thier different shades of rich colors....it's a thrill. I think God knew we would like it. ☺
ReplyDeleteI also took pictures this week for my simples pleasures ...yours are beautiful thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures of the beautiful changes in the tree colors. We don't get much of that here in Southern Calif. unless you go looking up in the mountains. We are planning a motorcycle ride to do that soon.. can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLove this time of year........ beautiful glimpses of the trees in your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely. You're so thoughtful to share those scenes with us, and your friend.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate these gorgeous fall leaves as much as your Texas friend. I miss the mid-atlantic and its amazing fall colors. It's so wonderful to be able to share in the delight of those in the midst of them. I'm glad to see that you relish in the beauty while you have it. I think, for me, it was a "don't know what you've got until it's gone" thing. I don't take this season for granted anymore! It's God's finest artwork!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are just beautiful! I was actually out taking some pics today....so much fun. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteDD
I wish these autumn colors lasted longer. One has to be quite diligent to get the most enjoyment out of them. Doesn’t the angle of the sun make such a difference? You friend will be happy to see your photos.
ReplyDeleteFound you through Simple Pleasure & so glad I did. I LOVE A Year In the Making!!! I look forward to following you. (and to hopefully finding the time to post on SP) ~ Merana
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL fall colors, Christine. God is the most amazing, awesome artist! Thank you for sharing some of His work.
