Information from the Associated Press:

The temperature dropped to 14 degrees early Wednesday at Sea-Tac Airport, breaking the old record of 16 degrees from Nov. 24, 1985, as arctic air put Washington in a deep freeze.

Yes, we are cold! And another NO SCHOOL DAY (no work)!

This post is for all of you who still have their AC on (and you know who you are.)

How's the weather where you are?

  1. WOW -- What a dangerous intersection. Do you guys use salt on your roads or is it just too cold for it to work? Unbelievable that it would be so cold already -- or so it seems to me. I live in the midwest and one day it's 35 degrees and the next day it's 75 degrees. It's crazy, but it's true. Do you like living in Seattle? My daughter keeps saying that she would love to move there. I'll have to show her your video. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  2. It's finally gotten cold here in San Diego. Meaning that I'm using the heater and throwing logs on the fireplace. Two weeks ago we hand Santa Ana conditions where it's dry, hot winds and temps up to the 80s.

    Have a blessed day.

  4. Yes, I know who I are. ;) I had to laugh, but 14-degrees isn't a laughing matter. We had a record high yesterday, while you had a record low. Go figure. We're still running the AC today, but they keep saying it's going to be cold on Friday. Can't wait!

  5. Wow Christine,
this video looks just like the roads here in Ohio during the winter! Mom, the kids and I all watched this together. The cold weather has moved in today as well as the rain. Stay warm...

  7. Are you sure it's not two below, there where you live??

    Two below the covers...that is.

Just a family joke in our home.;)

I hope you stay snuggly warm and have a wonderful Thanksliving day.
((Yes, you may quote me.)) You're too cute. Thanks for asking.

  8. Very frigid here in Oregon also. We had one no school day and the neighbor kids had so much fun playing in the snow. They love to play in my yard - large side yard good for snow ball fights and football games - and I love to hear them laughing. Sigh, I miss my kids being little.

  9. As we were driving around Seattle on our several visits there I did find myself curious what would happen on those hilly streets when it snows.
Snow days are the best ~ more common to us than you I suspect.

  11. We lived in West Seattle about 15 years ago in a gated community up on a very steeeeep hill. When it snowed you just prayed the gate would open before your car slid into it! Yikes. My husband worked at KING TV and they would put a reporter on Queen Anne Hill just to watch the cars slide down and crash into eachother...every...single...time..it snowed! I never got old!!
