One In Heaven, One From Heaven

Yes, it was (and is) an emotional time for our family.

Kimmy gave birth to Ila May
at 8:27 PM, Monday night.

Ila May came fast.
We all were miles from home, in two directions.
Tom and I were south, in Seattle about 20 miles away.
Kimmy and her little family were 20 miles north in Everett.
When I got the call to hurry home.

We all made it!
Mother and daughter are doing GREAT!
Both are very healthy.
Kimmy will share her story soon and I will pass it on.

We were in Seattle consoling Todd and Stephanie,
who lost their child earlier in the day.

I'm asking for your prayers.

(I will be taking sometime off from blogging)

By the way Ila is beautiful!

  1. Wow! "Congratulations" on one hand and "so sorry" on the other.

You need this time (off) to just "BE".

Blessings and Prayers - as adjustments are made all around.

    Love you.

  11. Having experienced a miscarriage myself I can relate to what Stephanie and Todd are going through right now. It is such a loss not to be able to meet that precious someone you've grown to love already. They are blessed to have your loving support. I am keeping them in prayer.
I just viewed Kimmy's blog and that BEAUTIFUL picture of your sweet new Ila May. What a doll baby! How blessed you must feel to have been there from the moment of her birth! I'm sure we'll be seeing more of your sweet grandkids soon! Cogratulations to you and Tom!
    Blessings!

  13. Ila is beautiful.
    Your own little miracle {#3}.
    Congratulations to you all.

My prayers are with Todd and Stephanie {and you all} as I know from experience what a heartbreak this is. Faith and time will be your healers but that won't help them yet as they feel such sadness.
