Tom and I went to the the movies last Saturday night.
For all my Bird Friends, this is a fun movie.
It was entertaining and a funny movie for the whole family.
If you are a bird lover, like me,
you just might see that bird you've been looking for.
These pictures are from my kitchen window,
the other day.
"Use the talents you possess -
for the woods would be a very silent place
if no birds sang except for the best."
"I value my garden more for being full of blackbirds than of cherries,
and very frankly give them fruit for their songs."
~Joseph Addison~
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer.
It sings because it has a song."
It sings because it has a song."
~Chinese Proverb~
Matthew 6:25-27“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
I love watching the birds on my feeders from my kitchen window. We have binoculars and handbooks because sometimes we see something rare and special. Even further down the block! :D

Love that verse. Love your birds!!
ReplyDeleteI love this, Christine, especially the verse and the quotes. I used the Henry Van Dyke in one of my books. Love that one.

ReplyDeleteYou have quite a variety of visitors there in your yard. I had to quit putting feed out because of the squirrels-I miss them.
Thanks for the tip on the movie. I'm always afraid to spend the money to go and then discover it's not a good one.
Take care-Kimberly
I love watching birds, and clearly the bird know it. In both of the houses we have owned, the birds just came in such variety.
ReplyDeleteI like Steve Martin so I would probably like the movie. Don't usually like the Owen guy but Steve would make up for him.
I want to take my mother to see this movie. I appreciate your recomendation. Bird watching has become one of her favorite pasttimes. She went away for four days last week and made sure that I would feed her birds. Your bird pictures are so good!
ReplyDeleteThe birds seem to know a secret to joy... and they pass it on when we watch them I believe... beautiful quotes and scripture. blessings to you and yours, Christine ~ tanna
