A few weeks ago the staff at my school, were given
"Make a Wish" forms to fill out.
You could make a wish for yourself or someone else.
Several teachers asked for speciality coffees and
they were delivered to their classrooms.
When I came to work this morning, a red "carpet"
was rolled out from the door, all the way down to my office door.
Waiting for me at the door was a crown, sitting on a pillow.
I couldn't believe it!
On my office window was a sign that
declared my office as,
The castle of Queen Christine I.
Someones wish was that I be,
Queen for a Day.
The band came and played "God Save the Queen".
I received flowers and a sash.
Students, teachers and anyone else close by, took out their cameras.
All I could do was smile and wave.
Christine
ReplyDeleteYou made a beautiful Queen.
And I'm sure that crown was well
deserved. I bet you do far more than expected at in your position. You just seem to be that sort of a lady!
Congrats!
Sorry I'm not there to give you a big bow. Not for your hair. The kind where I bend my head down in
your honor!
Oh! what a sweet post Christine, this says something about you as a person, You are truly loved, and you do look like a queen, I am so glad you had this special day.
ReplyDeleteA very happy Birthday wish for you, too.

I've always wanted to know royalty and now I do -- Queen Christine I. What a wonderful thing for someone to wish for you. You are very deserving of it. Love it that the band played "God Save the Queen."

ReplyDeleteAnd you are truly deserving of the title of Queen. That is so so sweet and what a wonderful surprise. You do know that you can use that to get or do what you want from your family now.:)
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't do that. You know, I'm the Queen.
I truly need that "fill in the blank" because I am the Queen.
Do you really think a Queen should pick up dog poop, take out the trash, (or whatever icky chore comes up)?
I'm thinking that may be one of the best gifts ever!!
That is just soooooooooooo awesome!!! I hope you had the best of time...what wonderful co-workers...and you know, that type of feeling flows over to the students...you all rock!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea!
I just LOVE this! I can't believe I missed it. Clearly, it's a reflection of how you treat the others on the staff that someone would wish this for you.
ReplyDeleteThis post brought such a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Queen Christine!
