Leafing / Leaving...

These pictures were taken last year of our grandson, Trey.
He was into exploring everything.

A rake was so fascinating!

 Trey this year.

The rake still holds a curiosity.

~~~~~~~~  ***  ~~~~~~~
We've had storm after storm of wind and RAIN!
Then the sun popped out...
what a great time for a long walk!
Street after street, were leaves and trees that
were photo worthy.
Then there were those who
didn't appreciate the leaves as much I did.
This man kept blowing
the leaves off the sidewalk.
Only to have the wind would blow them back.
When I walked by he just shook his head.
Even our birdbath was full of leaves.
Just one picture before I took the leafs out.
Well, that's about it for leafing.
Now, for leaving,
I'm going to take a break...
see you soon!
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world."
  1. Trey ... what a little doll he is. Maybe a master gardener is in his future skills.
    What glorious colors you're having.
    Take care and don't stay gone too long.
  2. I understand the Leaving Part... "leaf me alone... I'm changing".... lol! Sometimes we need to take a bit of a break and as you know I'm in the midst of one myself. (except for visiting from time to time, like now)....
    I too have been enjoying the leaves - we had some beautiful fog this morning. While out waiting for the bus with my son, I was glad I had my camera along. :) Great time for some pics...
  3. It won't be too many years before Trey will be helping you rake your leaves. Or doing it for you! :D We've had a beautiful Fall, but it's just about over and the temps have dropped. My neighbor just came home with a big ol' 10 pt. buck deer tied onto the back of his truck. Another sign of late Fall. Too cold to rake leaves!
  4. I never rake my leaves. I just leave them for mulch. But if I had a cute little helper like Trey, it might be a different story.
    I live not all that far from Bevy and we had fog this morning also. It's still warm here today, but a cold front is coming in tonight and it's supposed to go below freezing.
    Enjoy your break, but please come back. At least to see me turn the calendar page.
  5. I love the leaves! I'm always a bit sad when our neighbors run out and rake every day to rid themselves of the leaves! haha. I think they look beautiful as a blanket on the ground.
  11. With 16 oak trees we have been doing our own share of raking. Love that Trey!
