Time's Up!

By the time you read this, I will have
shared, told, informed, reveled, or spoken to
family, friends, neighbors
and church members.
Now I'm sharing with all of you.
We are moving!

We are at the beginning
of this new journey.
It's like telling someone you're pregnant.  Excitement; joy...
but lots of time, and work ahead.

I thought it would be fun or even helpful
to bring you along so you could
help, share, advise, comfort,
support, pray and benefit,
from this process as we go through it.
(I will need all of the above from you)

A few things we have already decided are;
Tom is retiring!!
It will be like we are newly weds!

We are moving to Idaho (no surprise).
We are not going to sell our cottage.
We are going to buy a home.
We will live close to our grandchildren!
We plan on traveling, a lot!
I will be closer to Didi,
my best friend, who also lives in Idaho.
We will be visiting back and forth back, to Seattle,
only in reverse.

Tom and I made our decision awhile ago.
But before I shared with the world,
we needed to tell certain family members
 and friends in person,
(because a few of them read my blog).

The hardest part of moving will be missing
 our grandson, Trey!
(tears flowing, QUICK, change the subject)

THE POWER OF PRAYER
Do you believe in the power of prayer?
I do!!
The prayers of four, little grandchildren
and their parents have been answered!

They have prayed, daily for us to move,
ever since they left our driveway 2 1/2 years ago.
They were praying before Tom or I even thought of moving.
Bless you Kimmy and Mark!
We are excited beyond words!

And now...
about the Kleenex tissue holders.

I love my friends and it will be very hard to
leave them for extended periods of times.
I sewed each of them a personalized
Kleenex holder.

So when we do say, "See you later",
they will have tissues, at the ready.
I wanted to give them a little something to remind them of me.

We are off to visit Idaho really, really soon,
to start the process of looking at homes!

Until I know more, stay tuned.

  12. Well, what an adventure! Mixed emotions for sure. Leaving some loved ones to getting close to others. Guess they just have to take turns with grammy and grandpa. lol! What a sweet gift you made for your friends. Guess they will just have to come visit you often. I love ID, quite a bit like UT. I'm sure you will too. We will be facing retirement in 2-3 years. Hubby is ready, but not ready to give up the money. lol!
    hugs,
    Jann

  13. What exciting news! I am so happy for you both and all of your family. I am sure there are some little ones that are so happy and counting down the days. But, I am sure it is bittersweet too. Just like you to think of your dear friends you leave behind, making them the cute tissue holders. A good idea!

I totally believe in the power of prayer. It gets me through every day of my life, especially now at this time of my life. I will pray for you whenever I think of you during this huge transition. Thank you for sharing your decision with us. Wishing you the very best!
