I don't understand my attractions
to unusual signs
but everywhere I go,
there they are.
We almost drove off the road when
I spotted this one.
Tom circled back and
I took the picture.
I wonder if other people slow down
to take a picture, too?
This is our backyard at sun rise.
If you look closely you can see the
sign on the back fence.
But it's hard to see.
I've had this sign for years.
I thought it was really funny.
It's first home, was along the fence of our cottage, back in the city.
It was funny. There definitely weren't
any cows for miles and miles.
But now that we live in the country,
it's not AS funny.
It's very real!!

"This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him."
John 3:2
I am a sign watcher too! Christine, especially church signs.
ReplyDeleteYour backyard is absolutely beautiful!
Love the country photos, our cows used to jump fence and we would have to go and find them, they once stayed in the woods for days, Dh finally went and found a cowboy to round hem up. ~smile~
Hope you are having a great July4th weekend.
Blessings,
Sue
Hi Christine, Although I haven't commented in quite awhile, I still read your posts. I knew you have moved, but can't recall where to? Signs are so fun, we loved seeing them in Ireland.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the summer
Hugs, Noreen
You do find some funny ones!
ReplyDeleteWhere's the sign that says you are coming back for a visit? Miss you! <3
ReplyDeleteI, too, am moved to take pictures of signs. Many times it is just so I will remember something. Not sure I'd want to shop at that appliance store, though.
ReplyDeleteQuote from another blog - "ordinary things can be beautiful when captured with a camera"
ReplyDeleteMaybe that is why I love reading blogs . . .
LOL! That second hand store is hilarious!! Christine, your backyard is so beautiful. I love all the pots and the fence! Yep, have to take that sign a little more seriously here. heehee. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteOh, I love signs, too! Some of them are just so witty and others just make me laugh (like the "crap" sign). :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smiles!
This is great and it made me giggle! Love the cow in the middle of the road, yes, you have started a new life. Oh, I was walking the other day and the neighborhood I was in had the small library. I got so excited and told my walking buddy all about it and how you had made one! See..I remembered!
ReplyDeleteThat sign would be a good one for my part of the country. I was driving last week, and passed a sign that said, " Cow Crossing". I too, backed up and took a picture of it. I smiled when I read this post. Maybe now you can relate a bit more to me and my part of the world. Great post! Pretty roses. Thank you for adding a few smiles to my morning.
