McCall Idaho

Tom and I went to McCall, Idaho
and spent couple of days there.

My girlfriend,
Didi and her husband
 live right on the lake.

Most days, we just talk on the phone.
These two days we
were able to spend time
together.

It hasn't always been this way.
For most of our lives she has moved
from place to place, out of state.

So, this is really special.

Morning sun rise on Lake Payette,
looking out from their patio.
Coffee and a beautiful sunrise!
Good start to the day.

Didi called me out to the end of the dock.
She pointed up to the mountain.
"See those ski runs way up there?
That's where we are going today!
Brundage Mountain"

WHAT??? gulp...
How????
We all went up to the top of the mountain in this vehicle.
No paved roads, just dirt paths.
Over rocks, in ruts, and around trees.
What a crazy and fun ride!

This is looking back at the dock on the lake!
Crazy!

We were at the top of
Brundage Ski Mountain.
The chair lifts were all around us.
The views were amazing!

Lucy was glad to see us back safe and sound.

  9. Hi Christine, no this one actually started out as a chickadee.. of course I "finished" him a total of 3 times after I had signed the painting! After round One I wanted him to be alittle darker on the chest so I changed him a up bit... Round two I called my thumb print edition.... where his sweet little chest had more texture and resembled a finger print... I went back to look at the first photo I had taken and decided I preferred a softer looser stroke so back I went and played with it until I completed what you see here! This painting was a result of a challenge using only three colors... so I had my direction set when I started! Of course tomorrow is my morning at the studio and I am already trying to figure out what I will do tomorrow! God has really guided this whole experience and I am finding I love to paint! Now I just need more hours in the day! Thank you for your encouraging comments!
