Out With the Old and In With the New

When we bought our home,
 it was winter time.
So, we thought this tree was dormant.
But as Spring and Summer came,
it was apparent, the tree was dead!
The tree needed to be replaced.
So off we went, to a huge tree nursery.
There were so many different types and kinds of trees!
The sales person drove us
around in a golf cart.
We I decided on a Frontier Elm.
 It finally arrived!
This called for a PARTY!
The grand kids, Mark and Kimmy came over
for breakfast and to watch
the tree being planted.

Picture Time!
It will be fun to see how big the tree gets,
as the grand kids grow.

"He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in it's season,And it's leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers."
Psalm 1:3

  1. How cool to get a new tree. You will enjoy watching it grow. I have a couple of volunteer trees in my yard. It's amazing how they got so big so fast.

  3. Amen on the scripture...AMEN! What a wonderful party for a new tree. I think one thing I mourned the most was we had planted a tree in the house we had to let go and that meant I would not see it grow with Benjamin or my grands. I am so Glad God's word isn't temporary! It looks great!

  4. I hope you all get in those exact same places and positions in front of the tree every year. Photos like that are such fun, and it really helps you see how everyone changes year to year.

  5. Love trees... can't wait to find a "new home"(when its time) with a few more trees... where we are now they are few and far between. One of the desires of my heart and HE knows. :)
