What Time Is It?

It's time to return to Blogging.
I was tempted to hang it up.

I don't like good-byes.
I really, don't like when someone stops blogging and just disappears.
But that's the controlling part of me,
I ... need time to say good-bye.

Blogging has changed
and... so has everything else.
Some good and some not so good.

Blogging is a great way to meet people,
 from all over the world
and share ideas, thoughts and even become "friends".
Over the years (this is my ninth year blogging),
I have meet some really very, special women,
who have touched my heart and
helped me more then they know.
All this, without meeting or talking to each other.
I think that is so special!

Over the passed nine years,
I have grown in my writing skills (still can't spell),
learned what makes a good photograph,
and left a wonderful legacy for my grandchildren.

You see, I never knew my grandmothers,
on either side of my family.
Who were they?
What did they do, think, look like?
Did they like to sing, cook, sew?
Did they go to church?
What were their views on God, politics or even life?
I have NO IDEA!
Questions that will go unanswered!

That's why it's important for me,
to share with my grandchildren, who I am.
It's the reason I started to blog, nine years ago.
I wanted my grand daughter to KNOW,
 who I am.

So, for now, I will continue blogging,
for ALL of my grandchildren
and a few remaining "friends".

Besides, Kimmy likes to read my posts, too.

  1. I like reading your posts too! Yes blogging has changed so much since we started so many years ago! An yes, I am one of those that have had to put my blog on the back burner. But I am so thankful to have met you through this social media tool! And I count our "friendship" as a true blessing from God!

  2. I am glad you are not stopping. Although I may not comment every time on a post, I do read them and look forward to seeing your new posts.

So many great friends, so many miles between them!

Have a great rest of your weekend.

  3. This Kimmy likes to read your post too, Christine! I'm glad you are stinking around.
I'm afraid I seem to be wavering about this blogging thing myself at the moment. I'm going to seriously be praying about it.

  4. I don't know about all blogging, but my blog has changed. I would miss you terribly if you stopped blogging. I am so glad we became friends even though we have never met face to face.
