It's A New Year

It was the start of the New Year,
I went for my annual morning walk.
Only today, it was January 1st.

Burr it's cold out!

The sky was unusually weird.
This cloud hoovered over my path.
Off in the distance
you could see the sun peeking through.

It didn't last to long.
Long enough to wonder if I would be
"Going Home" soon!
I did make it home but not
the one I was thinking about.

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only."

Matthew 24:36

  1. I love the variations of clouds and such... and am often drawn to them; the skies, the sunsets, storms. I think of Job 37 and in particular verse 7... where it says, "So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor." - as I run from the kitchen or whatever I'm doing and go outdoors to truly take in the skies...

In days later... did you get snow, then? They look like snow clouds. I see your temps are COLD!!!! :)

  3. Hi Christine!

Wow!! That was a really weird looking cloud, very ominous and kind of scary! It was probably the storm that we got this morning...2-3 inches of snow and high winds. We live in the country and there were times that I could not see across the road. Glad you made it home!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  4. The cloud almost looks like a ship over top. But it is very cool to see. Sometimes nature gives us some amazing things!

  5. That was a very strange cloud indeed, almost like a huge blanket! I love thinking about His return as well, who knows what it will be like! :)
