Out Walking And What Did I See?

Looking out towards Seattle
I went for a walk in the little town, that I call the "Sausalito" of Seattle, Kirkland.
It's on the waterfront with great views and has some of the most beautiful homes and condos sprinkled all along the way.
You can find condos on the water...
You can find cottages in between condos...

Fountains in the front of condos...

Beautiful walkways...
Long walkways...
Artwork displayed at the front door...
Artwork displayed across the street...

Massive...
Huge...
Interesting...
Kirkland is very big on public art and everywhere you look you can find it.

Beside buildings...

In gardens...

In parks...

On the benches...

In the bushes...

Along the fences...

I walked down to my favorite place in the world for me, Carillon Point. I turned around and walk back to Kirkland, all along the beautiful waterfront. Shortly after I got back to my car, it started raining.

  1. I've always loved that tiny little yellow cottage sitting right between two humongous apartment buildings on the waterfront! It's like the stubborn old gal just refuses to be torn down!!!!

Kirkland reminds me so much of Laguna and Newport Beach in SoCal. Well, without the rain! Lovely photos, Christine... thank you for sharing!

  4. After this long week of cold snowy weather, your walk is like a fresh mini vacation! I just loved it! Even with the rain, your part of the world is touched by God... beautiful!

  5. If I had those lovely views (and no snow) I would be inspired to walk more.

  6. Christine, I so enjoyed your walking tour. I laught to think how similar our blogs are... if you ever have time check back at the start last year... there are lots of "walking tours", including the worm photo I told you about earlier! LOL! Just cracks me up. It amazes me how lives of strangers become connected by this spiderweb of blogs only to find we have so much in common. Have a great day, Christine. I'll be looking forward to the next journey!
