This is my bicycle.
I have decided that this will be my new way of exercising.
I have even joined a bike buddy, A Gift Wrapped Life, who has set up a bike challenge.
But the real challenge for me...
My Personal Style!
*
You can be older...
*
Or young to ride a bike.
*
But what do I wear when I'm riding my bike?
I ride for exercise but I also will be riding for fun.
*
Racing gear is not for me.
*
High fashion doesn't suit me either.
*
Now this is a lovely look!
*
Audry had a traveling buddy....
But I think my little dog, Lucy, will be staying home.
This is more like it, flowers!
As for this type of exercise, nope!
*
You will definitely find me riding down a quiet road.
*

Can't forget the accessories,
*
when riding a bicycle. They are a must!
*
Just don't start singing that song from the Wizard of Oz,
when you see me coming down the street.

Don't ride against traffic. Ride with traffic, in the same direction.
I love, love, love all the photos of bicycling gear and assessories! LOL! Okay, I'm about to head out for a ride!! You have inspired me! What about this "challenge"?
ReplyDeleteI love your bike!! I want one just like that. I have a bike I ride that's just not cute, it's purely for the function.
ReplyDeleteWhen gas was so expensive last summer I rode my bike a lot and carried a backpack. One day I needed dog food, rode my trusty bike to Albertson's 2 miles way. Easy ride there, coming home with a large bag of dogfood, stuffed full into my pack, on my back....that was a long 2 miles home!!
Oh, and ding dong the witch is dead...lol.
I love your basket. Have a great time on your biking travels.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a place to comfortably ride a bike away from traffic and dogs, so I'll stick to walking. I like your bike.

This post makes me want to "roll on, along"...
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on an actual bike ride in years. Sweet memories of good ole bike rides...
My hubby used to ride alot so he says. Perhaps when the kiddo's can both ride their own we'll be doing the bicycle thing - again.
I should say though, this post reminded me of one of my favorite pictures from our wedding. You'll have to wait and see come May 14th-ish... when I have a post waiting in the wings for our anniversary. ;)
ReplyDeleteChristine, I laughed out loud when I got to the last picture! TOO FUNNY! I want to go bicycling too! But only if my bike has a beautiful basket like yours! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteYou know I can't wait to see what your personal style is! Will look forward to the pics!
Blessings!
what a fun post! I like the basket on it the best!
ReplyDeleteYou will look smashing in whatever you wear! I love the bike pictures. I keep looking at the height of the handle bars and the width of the seat! Those are my two main issues. I've finally gotten a comfy seat, but have developed neck problems and now I need handlebars that come up higher. It's always something. Maybe I'm subconsciously putting off riding the bike.
ReplyDeleteI have a basket like yours also -- it comes in so handy. Babs gets strapped in the basket and off we go! She loves it!
I would probably wear mid-calf cotton or terry slacks and a comfortable short-sleeve t-shirt, dark sunglasses, and a sun visor. Be sure to bring your water bottle and cell phone!
Pepper spray wouldn't be a bad idea either. For myself I like to bring along my canister of oxygen (haha)
Let's get the kids in the trailer and go for a ride.
ReplyDeleteWe just got our bikes out this week! I wish we were closer, I'd love to ride with you and I wouldn't care what you wore!
ReplyDeleteDee Dee
This is such a cute post. I hope you'll enjoy many miles of riding in whatever style you chose.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the two skinny ladies in hats, suits and high heels. What a style.
I joined Curves near where my kids go to tutor 2 times a week. It was my birthday gift to me. Otherwise I enjoy walking, but haven't done much lately. Maybe this summer.
Have a great week,
Nannette
I love your bike I haven't been on one in years the thought of my ample bottom totally hiding the seat ( lol ) has been a bit of a stumbling block but I would love to just get over it and get one anyway
ReplyDeleteI wish we lived closer and I would ride with you! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't have a bike... guess that would be the first thing to do!
Happy Trails.....
You are an inspiration to get our bikes out and tuned up for the season. Mine was a mother's day gift a few years back and the best thing about it is . . . coaster brakes (just like the old days). Now, I am gonna work on finding that basket.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat post--as always so heart warming. Love the bike, basket and the seat cover!! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat's too cute. I haven't ridden a bike in a blue moon, but The Man has decided we should get a couple. Now... what to wear. ;)
