Two of my favorite flowers.
Lilacs and Lilly of the Valley.
Set in the vase made out of silverware.
On my nightstand, next to my bed.
I smelled these two fragrances during the night, while I slept.

When you start to arrange the flowers, first ensure that the vase you use is very clean. This can be done by cleaning the vase with bleach on the inside which kills any bacteria and algae that has formed in the vase. Fill the vase with good, clean, fresh cold water.

Christine,
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of lilac's too! Mom used to have a huge lilac bush (more the size of a tree) at her old house. My neighbors have one and I've been tempted to ask if I could cut a few limbs for my personal enjoyment! Your vase is wonderful! I love handmade items from recycled things!

ReplyDeleteTaking a ride yesterday afternoon, my husband and I was admiring all the lilac bushes. I remember having one when I was a teenager and my mom would always cut some to put in the house. So fragrant!
ReplyDeleteLilacs have to have one of the most wonderful scents in the world. They must contribute to sweet dreams! Your vase and arrangement of them is beautiful.
