This is Gorilla Glue
This is my husband's shoe.
And this is what he did with his shoe and glue
Now, he doesn't know what to do!

Tom had the tip of the sole come apart from his shoe.
I told him to try some Gorilla Glue.
He smeared the glue all over the sole until it ozzed out and then ducked taped it together.
When he took off the tape this is what he ended up with.
It is rock hard!

Tom has a motto and it goes like this;

"If a little is good, a lot is better."

For removing glue left behind by stickers, price tags, and other manufacturer or store applications, try simple rubbing alcohol. Moisten a cotton ball or soft cloth with rubbing alcohol and hold it over the area in question. Once the residue is thoroughly moistened, gently scrape the glue residue off and repeat the process until the glue is completely removed.
Christine,
ReplyDeleteI'm so laughing! I'm so sorry about the shoe. We have used this glue before to repair cabinets, but I have no idea how to get it off once it is hard. Good luck!

LOL....I think it's time to go shoping for some new shoes....or a chisel.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kimmie! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteWell...worse case senario...you could always polish it black : )
ReplyDelete'Gorilla Glue' is the other woman in our marriage. I've tried hiding it, but he buys more. I think it should be illegal!

This is a LOL moment...... I'm just giggling!
ReplyDeleteI loved what Love the Decor said... you could always polish it black!
Thanks for the moment of fun!
This is the first time I have ever seen a shoe "foaming at the mouth".
ReplyDeleteToo funny.....looks like the shoe was the one with rabies; foaming.....LOL...Jude
ReplyDeleteHoney, do you know where I put the duct tape? I have a project.....
ReplyDeleteAnd, who was "sole"ly responsible for this idea??
ReplyDeleteIt was the toe of the shoe not the sole.
Okay, so my pun isn't working, but you get the point.
hee hee
This saying of his reminds me of something that Scott would say. "If it don't fit - make it."

ReplyDeleteTom sounds like a typical man. Sorry, Tom. :)
My husband lives by the same motto-LOL!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would have done the same thing also! Just a quick fix! :)
