Father's Day Table
Decorations and Giveaways
Yes, I'm talking about a vase.
For years I sent my kids to school
with flowers for their teacher this way.
This is one of my favorite ways to give flowers to someone.
First, Tom gives me his empty or not so empty pop can.
It's OK if there is any pop left in the can.
~~~See Tidbits below~~~
Then I get out the tin foil.
(aluminum foil)
Wrap the can real tight.
Just roll the can and cover the edge.
Then roll it back and forth a few times to secure it.
You won't even need Gorilla glue!
Next, squish the ends of the foil
around the top and bottom.
There you have a simple vase.
At this point you can add a ribbon.
Don't forget to add water before you
fill the "vase" with flowers.
.The hole is big enough for plenty of flowers.
But small enough that they won't flop around.
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support. You are an awesome friend. I am thankful GOD brought you into my life.
What if I start drinking a different flavor? I'm thinking about that. Will this still work?
Your flowers are beautiful and I just love the Ditto Vases!
ReplyDeleteCute idea..... I love giving flowers too. When I worked in an office years ago, I used to go to the florists and pick up flowers to hand out to the girls I worked with. I always loved the surprise they'd get when they came back from lunch and find a posy on their desk.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Christine. The flowers look beautiful in those vases.
ReplyDeleteawesome idea!! i don't know where to get Diet Ditto around here, though!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou just subbed as an attendance person, learning the job & after a while you were hired.
ReplyDeleteOur gal just retired and was replaced, but I will try and learn from her & maybe some day I can do that job.
I am looking forward to next year though. I had a really great experience at this school. Awesome principal, great office staff, teachers, paras & even the custodians are super in every way.
Have great week.
