"Fancy" Coffee

Any coffee lovers out there?
(Betsy, Bevy?)
Make any pot of coffee a fancy pot.
Just add a spice tea bag to your coffee pot.
(Any kind will do and possibilities are endless)
Keep it in there while the coffee brews.
It's not only delicious but your home will smell great!
On these chilly days, a warm sweatshirt and
a yummy cup of fancy coffee, is just the thing.
My next pot of fancy coffee, I'm adding peppermint tea.
Soooooo Delicious!

Good Cup of Coffee

Airtight & Outta Sight:

Whether you're grinding ahead of time or fresh every day, it's key to keep that flavor safe. Air and light are the enemy of coffee freshness. Store it in a dry, dark, cool (but not cold - the fridge and freezer are BIG no-nos) place, either in a cupboard or an opaque container. If you're storing it in a bag, make sure to force the air out before sealing it. Coffee, once ground, loses its maximum flavor after about a week, even under ideal conditions.

  2. I acually have some of that Ruby Red Chai tea bags around... I will have to try it. Hubby would say that is frufruu coffee, not fancy coffee.

I'll try it when he is not around. Does it matter the amount of coffee you start to brew? Like would it taste stronger of Chai or whatever - if you made a small pot of coffee?

  5. Christine,
I'll have to try that tip! Wayne and I always enjoy a fresh cup of coffee! I would have never thought to add a tea bag to the brew, but I can imagine a vanilla chai would add the perfect touch!
the weather is finally cooling down here, in fact the kids have been complaining on how cold it is in the mornings, and they have not been happy that I refuse to turn on the heater!

  6. I do love coffee, and I've never heard of that one. I'll give it a try. I have sprinkled a little cinnamon in the ground coffee before brewing. Smells and tastes good. Happy fall and great header pic!

  9. I LOVE coffee! I stop at Dunkin Donuts every morning on my way to school. Just black, no sugar. DEELISH! On the week-ends my husband makes a pot of coffee and even though I crave DD's I usually drink a couple of cups of home brew. I will sneak in a teabag this week-end and see if he notices! Mmmmm...I love the smell of coffee brewing...
Love your new header too! So pretty!
Oh, and thanks for noticing the humor in my post this morning, Christine!
    Blessings!
