I was "HIT" really hard, by this song this week.
The words from Matthew West's song, Motions, is an eye opener for me.
"I don't wanna go one more day
without Your all consuming passion inside of me
I don't wanna spend my whole life asking,
"What if I had given everything,
instead of going through the motions?"
without Your all consuming passion inside of me
I don't wanna spend my whole life asking,
"What if I had given everything,
instead of going through the motions?"
I don't want to go through the motions. I want to give everything.

This is my simple pleasure,
to give everything!
to give everything!

I love that song, Christine. Sing it over, and over. Help me, Lord, to give you all.

WOW, Christine. Amazing song. Powerful words. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. I'm thinking how grateful I am for God's mercy and grace.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Very powerful. I've been on auto-pilot lately. This was the nudge I needed.
ReplyDeleteVery true. Quite often we do end up on auto pilot and not giving our all.
ReplyDeleteI never heard this song but the words....my heartcry...thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteChristine, that video is really powerful. Thank you so much for sharing the link and for your inspiration to do the same in our lives. It is so easy to just go through the motions. I hope to be more mindful every day.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite songs and one of my favorite artists! Powerful and convicting song! :)
ReplyDeleteI love what Dayle said about auto pilot! This is a wonderful simple pleasure, and I'm so glad you shared it!!
ReplyDeleteI don't recognize it...going to take a listen now...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing that video -- I hadn't heard that song and the video was really so moving.
ReplyDeleteI must go watch this .....thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI love this song and had it as my ring tone on my phone a few years ago. I remember praying those words and soon after the Lord took me through a refining process that was painful but good. Sometimes it takes that to grow us : ))
ReplyDeleteLove the song! I agree I don't want to just to through the motions.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Joan
I do love that song! It really speaks truth, doesn't it??
ReplyDeleteSomehow hearing the message in a song is much more powerfull isn't it?!
