Two Weeks Are Up ! What Fun It Has Been...

I was there when they said their morning "Good-by's"
to Daddy from the window.

We read Books, Books and more Books.
(notice the laundry basket,
I put it to use in between books and other activities)

Baking quiche, muffins, cookies and Grammie Goo's
famous banana bread.

Washing Dishes,
ohhhh...
soooo much fun!

Lots of bonding time with Ila!

Making "toys"
Rice with little treasures, that each of them
 placed inside a clear container.

They need to shake it to find the treasures.

Making creations with Play Dough

Here we are making Peanut Butter Cookies
The "official taste tester"
(check out the little hand on my arm - love it!)

Good old outdoor fun.
Who's that in the woods?

Snack
 Time!

Cuddle Time!

Gave them a big bag of rice to play with

Daily Walks
to
find some"treasures".

Making a Sand Box
and pretending we are at the beach.

More morning walks!                              My favorite part of the day.

I will miss our
                      walks,
                                hugs,
                                       snack time talks,
                                                               playtime,
                                                                             kisses, and
all the LOVE that was given out!

Love you Lulu, Levi and Ila!

  9. Christine, you are the grandmother I someday want to be. Such creativity and simplicity (passing on to them the joy we find in a walk, a sand box, all the things that we grew up appreciating since we had no digital distractions). These will be memories that the kids take with them all their lives.

  10. I don't know, Christine. Maybe it's because it's late and I'm tired, but these photos made me cry. I was thinking, what a rich life, and the doll baby washing dishes ... I was remembering the fleeting season of childhood.

Great post, my friend. Enjoy every minute.

  11. Christine, I just love all of your pics, but the one of Levi holding your arm, well, as a grandma myself, that one just takes the cake! Thanks for sharing your
precious memories. I'm off to read Kimmy's story...

  12. I came over from Viola's blog...I so enjoyed your time with your grands...they are adoreable and you look like you do the same things I do with mine...taking walks, baking, playing, etc. I love being a grandma too! I also enjoyed your posts about the signs...was that Woodinville, WA. My sister lived there for a few years.

Looking forward to getting to know you more!
