(He looks like he has four wings, just the shadow.)
This Dragonfly dropped dead and landed on our patio.
Perfectly intact.
What do you do with such a beautiful, huge bug?
Give it to my Sister-In-Law,
Tamar, as a birthday gift..
She LOVES Dragonflies!
He looks great mounted in a shadow box.
Even added some special touches to the bag.

ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Love the gift bag...too cute. Judy
ReplyDeleteYou are my hero. No only did you repurpose reuse recycle the dead, but you touched it. I would have been screaming for hubby to come clean it up and dispose of it. Seriously, it turned out beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRemind me not to drop dead at your house :)
I love it!
ReplyDeletethat is a PERFECT birthday gift!!
ReplyDeleteThat is great!!! Oh dragonflies...so many and different colors...I stenciled them on a wall one time.
ReplyDeleteGreat gift.
Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful gift! I'll take a gift made especially with me in mind over anything store bought any
day. It turned out so nicely too.
I really love that, Christine. I found a dragon fly one time, but I didn't think to do that. My younger daughter (Whimsy) love dragon flies and butterflies.
ReplyDeleteDon'tcha love when that happens? Great gift! (It looks fantastic!) Great story! And your sister-in-law is sure to love it! P*e*r*f*e*c*t!

Sometimes God does drop us a present...hurray for you for seeing its beauty and saving it! What a great gift!
ReplyDeleteI like how you take what life hands you, add a dose of creativity, and come up with another special project. I know she will like it so much.
ReplyDeleteYou are just the sweetest!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) That looks so beautiful in the shadow box!! You rock!! :)
ReplyDeleteGod gives us a lot of presents doesn't he??
I am trying to do the same. Care to share 'How to' do and a suggestion for mat, pins or glue to attach dragonfly, etc.
