Lulu all dressed up and waiting for us to pick her up.
Last Thursday night, Lulu asked Papa if he
would take her on a date to Applebee's.
I was also invited along.
So tonight was the night.
So tonight was the night.
This was a big deal for Lulu and us.
This was the first time Lulu had been away from Mom or Dad, ridden in our car,
and to a restaurant without her parents.
Lulu had her new dress on with necklace and a ring.
She brought along a tiny doll for company.
Her car seat was in place and she was eager to take off.
One last good-by to the family.
First order was to color.
Then to try the lemon.
Lulu had told her mother, she knew what she wanted for dinner,
Chicken Cesar Salad.
That's what she ordered.
She also had a few helpings of Grammie-goo's shrimp.
Here we are looking at the dessert menu.
Looks like I'm a little excited.
Lulu decided on a Strawberry Cheesecake
Of course it had a cherry on top!
Date Night with Papa was fun.
Thanks Papa!
The evening was exciting but it was time to go.
Her carriage took her back home to
Mommy & Daddy,
Levi and Ila May.
Oh my!!!!! Why does she look so old????? I'm so glad you all had fun. She had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThat's sooooo sweet! You people are professional grandparents. Yea, Chris, I get excited about dessert too! :D What fun!

OK ... this is just too SWEET!!
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! Lulu is so cute. And the grandparents aren't too bad either. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great nite. It looks like there was lots of laughing! Have a great weekend! Jude
ReplyDeleteJust what every little girl dreams of, an evening that is for her only, and two grandparents to dote on her. I like the picture of the family at the door waving goodbye to her. In fact, I like all the pictures. What a little, grown-up princess she is!
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, Oh what joy to be close to grands-both in proximity and relationally. I love this idea-we haven't done it before but we may have to start this tradition(maybe for birthdays too). Thanks for sharing and for sharing your lovely neck of the woods; I just wonder where exactly you are-maybe we crossed paths.
ReplyDeleteHugs today, Noreen
A fun tradition that I suspect will repeat again and again?
ReplyDeleteWell, that is just so cute! You can just see the excitement on her face! I love Applebee's, too! Yum. And she made a great menu selection! :)
ReplyDeleteChistine,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!
Such sweet memories made with each and every loving interaction!
All I can think of is blessings upon blessings!
I've missed you and have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! I moved the beautiful Angel to her new home last night!
You are a blessing........
