Kitchen Morphing

Kitchen before we moved in

Downsizing and moving into our Cottage
 has been so much fun.
Tom and I don't plan on remodeling.
It's darling just as it is.
But painting...yes!
Kitchen right after we moved in

The kitchen was cute but I didn't love it.
I knew I had to do something.

So off came the cupboard doors.
Still wasn't in love with the kitchen.

So I painted the back of the cupboards a gray-blue
and added some lace to the edges of the cupboards.

Still working on morphing this kitchen.
Stay tuned.
Next,we are working on the stove area.

I'm beginning to love my kitchen.

Amazing on what a little change and some paint make to a space! Love the pop of yellow with all your blue pottery! Can't wait to see what you do next!

  5. Great ideas! I'm always rearranging my kitchen or looking for a something new to spruce it up. Just yesterday I painted my kitchen table and bought some new chairs. It helps to make it a fun place to be since we do spend a lot of time in there, and besides the BR, it's the first place we go when we get up!

I can see why you love your cottage kitchen, for sure!
I like the improvement you made by removing the doors and adding the
paint and lace trim. All your schtuffkies add the charm!

  14. I love it, and it says COTTAGE.

Have you named your new nest? Oh, please do so if you haven't. It's the kind of place that deserves a whimsical name.

And no. "Construction Cottage" is not whimsical so don't even try...

This is really going to be fun for me to peep in your windows as you add your touches.
