Visiting Local Coffee Shops - #1

Tom and I thought it would be fun to check out each of the ten, (yes, I said ten),
coffee shops, that are walking distance from our cottage.
And we want to take you along.

Our first visit is a Starbucks.
It's in a grocery store, called Fred Meyer.
We sat on the second floor,
looking down on all food,
that was neatly stacked,
up and down the store's isle.
Looking up, you can see where we sat.
I was amazed at how organized the shelves are.
I was even more amazed at all the stuff!
This Starbucks has lots of books and magazines for sale.
I was amazed again, at all the different kinds of magazines there are.
Magazines for everyone's interest.
Cooking healthy or for calories.
Flea Market magazines are really popular!
Getting ready for the garden.
These hair magazines caught my eye!
I thumbed through them looking
 to find a new style.
Hey, this looks familiar!
It's very similar to our kitchen.

Well, this is the first in a series of coffee shop visits.
By the way, this Starbucks was a
15 minute walk from our cottage.

  1. 15 coffee shops....WOW...all the caffeine so close to home! The store looks very interesting! Have a great day. I need to get back to blogging and stop working all the time...boring!! Judy

  2. That's my kind of coffee shop and grocery store, Christine. Hope you show the other coffee shops. They will have to get up and go to top this one.~smile~
I clicked on your kitchen, loved it,.
    Enjoy your evening.

  3. Oh..that is so wonderful to have that close! I love the high shot of the grocery! What a cool view!
I'm interested in that magazine on autism...I'm looking that one up! :)

  4. Great series!
My question to you and Tom... will you order the same thing at each place... or will you try something new each time?
Love the photo of the store from above... very colorful and cool!

  7. I like walking to fun places. Walking home, not so much.

I love that you have these fun outings together.

  8. This was a fun post - and such good pictures.

I just love a good coffee shop and look forward to your visits to the rest of them.

Have a wonderful day - Marsha

  9. TEN coffee shops? You will be having fun checking them all out. And I will be having fun checking them out with you. I like this one -- being able to look down on the store as you sip.

  10. What a fun project to undertake! And we'll be watching for the next in your series!

  11. Oh, please do the whole series! I think it will be fun to see the different shops. I would love to live walking distance to so many of them. Honestly and truly, you two are in the adventure season of your lives in the little cottage. It all just sounds wonderful to me.

  12. In my mind, this is the perfect way to spend time on a Saturday. Time to be together, to relax, to drink coffee, and to walk...great idea. I would like a grocery store with a coffee shop in it.

The pictures are good of you and your husband.

  13. How neat that you have 10 coffee shops within walking distance. I live out in the country so NOTHING is in walking distance!

    I'm a new follower :)
