Trey Day

Wednesdays, I take care of our grandson, Trey.
I drive over in the morning and spend all day with him.
Plus, two dogs, one cat and eight chickens.
It's a hopping place.

This is the "game" Trey and Abram play.
 It is so hilarious.

Cooper and Trey have special bond.

But Cooper has only one Master.
At 5:15 PM everyday,
he waits for Todd to come home.

This is the bouquet of flowers that
Todd and Stephanie
left in my car the other day.
How special is that!

I am blessed!
Love my Trey Days!

Sunday Drive

Seattle has some really beautiful, old homes.
As we drove down this street,
I felt like I was at a tennis match.
My head turning left and right, as fast as it could.

As we headed home...

I thought, there's no place like Home.

Google Image

My bags are packed and I'm ready to GO!

Our daughter is in her "window" and I will be driving over to Boise, soon!
Kimmy is having her fourth child and it's a boy.
Click here to see the moment they found out.

What do I take for my ten day stay?
Craft projects -check
Computer - check
Camera - check
Clothes - check
Books - check
Phone - check
Gifts - check
Can you think of anything else I should bring?

Kimmy will call us when she knows she is in labor.
I'm praying that I will be there for the birth.
(It's a 8 1/2 hour drive.)
If not, well, God knows what is best.
All I know, is it's still so exciting for us to have another grandchild!
If you are counting, this will be
grandchild #5, for Tom and me!

Noah, 2013

A friend of mine sent this to me.

In the year 2013, the Lord came unto Noah, Who was now living in America and said:

"Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me."
"Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans."

He gave Noah the blueprints, saying:
"You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights."

Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard - but no Ark."Noah!," He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?"

"Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed."
"I needed a Building Permit."
"I've been arguing with the Boat Inspector about the need for a sprinkler system."

"My homeowners association claim that I've violated the
Neighborhood by-laws by building the Ark in my back yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the local Planning Committee for a decision."

"Then the City Council and the Electricity Company demanded a shed load of money for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear none of it."

"Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the Greater Spotted Barn Owl."
"I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go!"

"When I started gathering the animals, PETA took me to court. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodations were too restrictive and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space."

"Then the Environmental Protection Agency ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on Your proposed flood."

"I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew."

"The Immigration Dept. Is checking the visa status of most of the people who want to work."
"The labor unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only union workers with ark-building experience."

"To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species."
"So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this ark."

"Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine and a rainbow stretched across the sky."

Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?"

"No," said the Lord. " The Government beat me to it."

Playing With ~MY~ Food

My friend and fellow blogger,
Betsy over at My Five Men,
has been known to play with her food.
Click here to see what I mean.

Today, I found this orange that had a perfect, yellow, wedge,
 from top to bottom.
Now, I'm starting to play with my food.

Date Night

Last night,Tom and I went to the BIG city of Seattle
for a dinner and a show.

That's right, we saw Jersey Boys.
It was great!
People were dancing in their seats.
 (Tom's a little sore today.)

We got dressed up and before the show we went to dinner.
I don't know who enjoy it more, Tom or me.

Today, Todd and Trey came over for lunch.
The big guys went to a movie,
while Trey and I played.
Check out Trey's shirt!
We got a souvenir from last night's play.
For those of you who are too young to know,

(Can't get that song out of my head.)

Getting Ready...

Lulu pretending and Kimmy 8 1/2 months

Just got back from another visit to Boise.
It's an 8 hour trip and this time I went by myself.
I went to help Kimmy get ready for
the birth of Silas.

Silas was on Kimmy's right side, the "wrong" side.
The best position for a baby is on the mother's left side.
My Doula training has come in handy.
Exercises with the Rebozos helped!

We also got her "Home Birth" items
and the newborn clothes freshen up and ready.
We had so much fun!

We also celebrated an early birthday for Lulu,
who will be turning six years old.
She wanted crocs.
Bright Pink!

Ila May (almost 2 yrs.) and Levi (3 1/2 yrs)

These two are good "buds".

My next trip to Boise will be for Silas' birth!
Both Kimmy and I want me to be there,
but how do you plan something like that?
