We SOLD our house (home)!
Saying good-bye has been difficult but ok.
We lived in this house for 29 years.
Our children grew up here.
The past two years we have rented the house out,
while we live our Cottage.
Praising God,
it sold in three days!

So long, moving on.
Ahhhhh Christine I dunno why this makes me sad even if you guys rented out the house it's gone now. Ok, I'm over it. I love the little cottage you guys are in. I know we are not supposed to get attached to material possessions.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

I had wondered what you were going to do with it. I think Kimmie lived there at first, right?
ReplyDeleteI know the saying goodbye is so poignant. God realllly blessed you with the quick sale, though, so He must have big plans for this house. That's the way I like to look at it, anyway.
I can only imagine your joy and relief at selling your home since you are not planning on returning there. Especially in this economy!I have enjoyed this home, but look forward to selling and moving somewhere we can spend less time on and more time having fun like you two kiddos! Congrats!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's one of those bitter-sweet times... when yes, we're happy about the new things, but there is a heart-pull in the midst of it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you grace... and something from Him that will be perfect Comfort as you totally close this chapter of your lives.
Hugs... and Celebrations...
Congratulations on the quick sale. That is a blessing... the dragging out just drains you. I'm with Brenda, bittersweet. Sending hugs your way as another chapter ends. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI have lived in my house for over 33 years. Where did the time go? I know it would be hard for me to leave here and it must have been hard for you to let go also. But your cottage is so cute and I know that must be where God wants you or you wouldn't have sold the old house so quickly. What a quick sale! I hope you have 29 more wonderful years in the cottage.
