Valentine's Day & Birthday in Idaho

Silas, Levi, Ila May and Lulu

Valentine's Morning was wonderful.
The night before we decorated with pink, red and hearts.
Everyone had a homemade mailbox, ready for valentines and candy.

Papa surprised us all with flowers!
The doorbell rang and there was not one,
 not two,
 not three,
not four
 but
five bouquets of flowers.
Thank you Papa!

The next day we were still celebrating!
Tom (Papa) had a birthday.
Kimmy put together a collage of pictures of the grand kids.

It's always hard to leave...

The morning we were leaving, the big kids jumped into our car and
said they were going home with us.
~sniff sniff~

I love you and miss you!

  1. What a nice Valentine's Day you had! And a really thoughtful birthday gift for Tom, especially since you don't see them every day. And 5 bouquets! That Tom is a keeper! I'm glad you had a nice visit with them. It's always hard to leave, isn't it?

  5. It all looks wonderful to me! I would have wanted to throw in the baby (and the mommy and daddy) and taken them all back home. I love the way you have been able to bridge that distance gap so well. It inspires me and encourages me about a future not living around the corner from my grandkids. (The ones that live in my heart, you know...)

And Happy Birthday to that awesome flower bringing man of yours!!

  6. What sweet moments and good memories you're busy making. Not to mention the wonderful hugs and precious sayings we store away. I will be enjoying my little one in less that two weeks as she and her mom are coming to visit while her daddy is away on business. Time spent together is so important. They grow up so fast!
