"But no one changes the
Living God. He changes us."
Isaiah 64:8
It's good that you are close enough to do this with your grandkids, and I imagine they were thrilled! As a kid, I was never really into sweets, preferring bacon and sausage and eggs to sweets for breakfast. I even skipped the syrup on my pancakes in favor of just butter. I guess I was a weird kid.
ReplyDeleteEven today I prefer savory sandwiches to a PB&J.
Ha! I make these all the time. But - have never tried the cinnamon and sugar with it, too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I make french toast. I like to add a smidge of cinnamon and vanilla to the egg - with a good dose of cracked black pepper.
So - glad you get to enjoy the grandkids so close.
Oh my ... never tried them fried.
ReplyDeleteWhen my boys were young one of them did not like cheese, so when I did toasted cheese sandwiches I'd always did a toasted peanut butter for him. Never thought about putting jam on it, though
ReplyDeleteI guess I am one of the few people in the U.S. who has never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The very thought of it turns my stomach. I am not a sweet loving person, preferring salty to sweet. Just give me a plain old peanut butter sandwich.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you live so close to your grandkids now. I know they must love it as much as you do.
You are so very, very, very blessed... so is your family! What a treat! blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteTom looks like he needs more coffee! haha...
