Trip - Surprise Ending

Penny Lane Condo
Here is a quick tour, after we packed up all our stuff.
The stools at the couch and bed
are for our little dog, Lucy.
We spent many hours around this table.
This portion of the trailer in what is
called a "bump out".

It's always hard to say good-by to loved ones.
The key is to have a plan in advance
 for coming back.
That way you have something
 to look forward to
and the departing isn't tearful.
(that plan went out the door!
I cried!)

Look at her!
I couldn't get enough Kisses planted on her forhead!
And this guy... look at that face!

I can't wait to see them soon.

I love them very much!

And now for the surprise ending.
( for Tom and me)

When we left Idaho,
we were happy, grandparents of 5,
with one on the way.

When we came back to Idaho,
we were the ecstatic, grandparents of 8.

Kimmy and Mark
are now Foster Parents of two
adorable little children.
A baby girl and a two year old boy.

Their identity is private so that's why the heart on their sweet faces.
Life has been so busy around here!
We have been helping out as much as
we can.

Well, life is back to our new normal.

Pictures of the
Blood Moon eclipse,
from our backyard!

"Let love be genuine, Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit. serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality."

Romans 12-9-13

  1. So hard to leave those babies I'm sure. Congrats on two more grands though. I'm sure you'll love them to pieces!!!

  2. haha...well, that is a big surprise! How very fun! What a neat thing to do. One of my girlfriends has 5 adopted children. The oldest started out as a foster child. So neat.

  3. What a wonderful trip with such a happy ending! Congratulations on all your new blessings! I am looking forward to the day I can be a grandma--you all make it look like so much fun! :-)

  4. What a big surprise indeed! And how exciting to have this opportunity to shower love on your newest family members!!

  5. Your cup runneth over BIG TIME! Hugs to you friend!

  6. Just when you think life as settled in nicely a new normal comes along. It looks like you are embracing it with you gentle loving nature.

  7. Oh my so busy, but so rich with blessings! God is so good! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog... we have had a land contract on the house since last October and hope to be getting a final payment this month or next! Praise God that the neighbors really wanted the house, but asked if we could finance it for the year. I wanted to move it to our property, but considering it sits directly on a concert slab... that was a no go. I have love following all your trip to visit Todd and his beautiful family! Congrats on your newest additions to the family! Again I say richly blessed!

  8. This was certainly a surprise -- a good one. Congrats grandma! You have a beautiful family.

  9. Oh my goodness!! That's some kind of surprise, my friend. They're blessed to have you, that's for sure.

  10. Grand babies are one of the sweetest blessings of life! How wonderful to have foster grand babies as well!

  11. Looking at these pics... I miss you! But what a wonderful, full, adventurous life you have. Maybe we can come to you someday.

  12. My emotions went in all different directions while I was reading this post. I love how God has given you such an interesting journey in this life. I feel your sadness in the goodbyes, and then turned around and felt your great joy in the little ones you now welcomed into your family. You inspire me!
