Tom and I were feeling a little
"house bound" and decided to
take a day trip.
Blue skies, crisp air and gas in the tank,
we took off.
Tom found a destination...
Jack Pot, Nevada!
Before you get any farther...
warning!
There are a lot of cloud pictures!!!!
Every few minutes,
I was taking picture after picture of
some breath taking clouds.
We did stop at the
Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce
This is home of the world famous,
base jumping,
Perrine Bridge.
Yes, we did see one guy jump off,
but not in time for me to get a picture.
They are quick!
This is the view from a look out platform.
Back on the road to Nevada
Welcome to Jack Pot Nevada.
It's about one mile from the
southern boarder of Idaho
Sneeze and you'll drive right
through the city.
We did stop and play $2,
at the penny slots.
Our winnings!
Time to get back on the road for home.
The sky turned really dark.
Snow storm!!
When we got out of it,
this is what we came across.
A stop sign covered with snow.
The sunset was beautiful!
It was a long and beautiful
road trip!
We arrived home in the dark,
happy to be home and with our winnings!

This is what the Lord says:
"Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast in their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justices and righteousness on earth
for in these I delight.",
declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
Are we there yet? HAHA! I loved the road trip, the clouds and everything. We used to do stuff like that but we've pretty much wore out our local landscape and need to head in a different direction. I couldn't take that bridge by the way. Anxiety attack!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Idaho and Nevada were so close. I LOVE clouds so I didn't mind looking at those pictures one bit! Don't spend all your winnings in one place. Ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteLoved the winnings! :) What splendor and beauty you captured. I'm a sky person and you can't have too many pictures of clouds or anything sky-ward for my liking.
ReplyDeleteOh my, your sky and cloud photos are incredible. What a great road trip! And how lovely that you can just pick up and do it as the whim whispers.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful February...

ReplyDeleteGlad you made it home safely. The clouds and light in the photos are lovely. Looks like you two had a fun day. xo
ReplyDeleteI know I came by here and commented, but don't see it. I, too, take lots of pictures of clouds and snow (when we have it). I enjoyed your picture trip.
