Boycotting, Blackballing & Bulling

It seems that our country is
 on one side or the other.

Left vs. Right
Conservative vs. Liberal
Republican vs. Democrat

My own family members and friends have taken sides.
It has left me heart broken,
because they have either boycotted, blackballed or bullied
me for my views, opinions and beliefs.

Yes, I've been "blackballed".
(to shunned, cast aside)

Yes, I've been "boycotted".
(to abstain from dealing with, intimidation or coercion)

Yes, OH YES, I've been "bullied".
(a quarrelsome, over bearing person who habitually badgers and intimate)

Really??
Why??
Are they scared?
Yes!!!!

I'm going to forgive and pray for them.
I am going to use words that are soft, loving or none at all.
They are not going to stop me from living for the glory of God.
I'm trusting God!

~~~***~~~
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,"
Isaiah 41:10
"Yes, and all that will live godly in Jesus Christ shall suffer persecution."
2 Timothy 3:12
  1. I stand with you, my friend. I've been facing many of these same things. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9
  2. Prayers for peace... unfortunately we are put into categories and forgotten that we are individuals.
  3. Dear Christine ... my thoughts are let pleasing God become bigger than pleasing others. I have never in my many years remember such a division among so many. I also have never spent so much time in prayer as I have recently. Warmest Blessings ♥ Teri
  4. Christine, don't let the thoughts and inclinations of others bully you into accepting their view. We all have a right to our beliefs. Stand firm and know that God and others stand with you.
  5. Sending hugs your way, Christine. I love the promise that as we draw near to Him He draws near to us.
  6. I am stunned by the hatred and hostility from so many who claim tolerance and 'love trumping hate'. If they could just see in the mirror. Seems our country is engulfed in craziness. Keep PRAYING. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
  7. I echo your sentiments Christine. We will never be a true United States if we are so harshly divided. Have a wonderful week!
  8. One of the signs of the last days is that people will be "despisers of those who are good." (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Keep fighting the good fight, my friend, I'm with you.
  9. Dear Friend, You are not alone in this!! Many have been divided because of what is considered right and left. But its really right and wrong! You just stay at peace and remember we were warned this would happen in our families!!
    Blessings, Roxy
  10. It is so sad to see the division in the hearts of the people of this country, but at the same time, perhaps this is what must happen for true change to take place, and for people to truly turn their hearts to the Lord. Continue being the light of Christ that you are. These people who are so hateful with their words and thoughts will see that you are different, and that is the difference you are making. Hugs to you today dear friend!
  11. When and how did it happen that your character is defined by your political leanings. I agree that it is so terribly sad.
