The NEWS is full of awful impact of
hurricane Harvey and Irma.
And each one, a huge disaster.
Prayers and money have been sent.
Here in Idaho we have our own disaster.
FIRE!
This is the view from our kitchen as the sun
was coming up.
It casts an eerie but beautiful color
in our kitchen floor.
All over the N.W. there are multiple fires
This has caused the air quality to hit
the highest levels of concern.
Tom and I had some business
up in McCall, Idaho yesterday.
Normally, when we drive up in the mountains,
it's a scenic drive.
Today, it was just sad.
All the mountains were covered by the smoke.
Farms, off in the distance, were barely visible.
Our grandkids put on masks so they could play outside.
But still it burned their throats.
Good night Idaho.
Praying for an end to all the fires!

We have been much in prayer over all the disasters taking place in our country, last week our state was told to prepare for a hit from irma, we are so thankful no direct it, tough we will be experiencing some high winds and rain. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected! I pray your dear grandchildren will soon be able to play outside and breath fresh clean air! thank you for sharing.

I'm catching up with my blog reading and just saw this. Hope the fires are under control by now. Fire is a scary thing.
ReplyDeleteAll the disasters are very sad. They are all destructive and dangerous, and both cause loss of life and possessions. Flood waters recede and houses are rebuilt, but it takes a long time for the woodlands to restore. So sad for everyone affected.
ReplyDeleteThe fires and smoke were horrible, just horrible this year! Not a fun way to end the summer! Has the smoke cleared up now that we've gotten some rain? I hope so, our smoke is finally gone. Fall is here in all its glory now, love this short but incredible season we have. Hugs to you!
