Things Are Happening...

Our brand new appliances have arrived!
But we don't have a place in the kitchen for them, yet.
(still waiting for our counter tops)

So into the garage they go!

The stove and dishwasher are still all wrapped up,
like Christmas presents.
We undressed the shipping packaging
off the refrigerator and plugged it in.

So, what do you do with a nice, clean, reliable
old refrigerator?

You clean it and ship it...

out the back gate to our daughter's
home, just down the street.

Kimmy is so excited to have a
refrigerator in HER garage, right next to
her freezer.

Nathan, baby #6, is due in at the end of August.
Kimmy will have 4 boys and is in need of
another refrigerator.

We now have a working refrigerator in the garage,
as opposed to on the back patio.

I still forget and go outside to get things
from the refrigerator.

I wonder how long it will take to reprogram my brain
to go to the garage!

Two more weeks
for the counter tops to be installed.

But who's counting! - ME!!

  5. Perfect use for it, Kimmy will certainly need it, I know. As a mom to 3 sons and 1 daughter, all adults now, I remember when one fridge was just not enough. I'm excited for your kitchen plans!

I read the above comment and thought I'd add that a friendly blogger told me how to fix it, very easy to do. Let me know if you don't have the instructions and I'll send you a link to it.

  9. Having just found your blog, I'm very happy to 'meet' you. What an adorable family you have. :)
I live in the U.K., in the far south west - Cornwall, and have a smaller family - a beloved husband, two adult sons (one of whom is a Christian), one God-loving/serving adult daughter and two young grandsons. We also have a Bichon Frise called Archie.
I love all your family photos and the close relationship you have with your daughter. Our daughter, Louisa, lives 300 miles from us (in the U.K. that's a big deal on our roads) and I miss her a lot. But I know Louisa is fulfilling the plans God has for her.
I am looking forward to reading more of your posts, I can see that you have already become one of my favourites.
Sending God's blessings to you with love from Cornwall. :)

  11. Love, love, the idea of a second refrigerator in the garage Christine. So many times when working on the farm, I need something cold and have to take shoes off and clean up before going inside,!
Congratulations to Kimmy and her Dh on the new baby, the refrig. will be a blessing for them.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment. The devotional we use is by DR. David Jeremiah, Morning & Evening Devotionals. One of the best I have ever read. Of course, Dr Jeremiah is a favorite of ours.
    Blessings,
    Sue

I stock up on things at Costco and box stores, and it comes in so handy to have.
