My Week

A visit from relatives, who live in the BIG CITY of Seattle.
My brother, Steve, and sister-in-law, Jeanne,
stayed with us for a week.

It was fun to show them what a
small town looks like. But we mostly sat
around on the back porch and
talking, laughing and enjoying ourselves.

As a Thank You,
 for our hospitality,
they bought us some pretty, pink tulips.

These are what the tulips look like now.

Still so unique and beautiful!
(Just like my brother)

FARMERS MARKET
Who doesn't like a local Farmers Market?

Ila May and I went to our local market.
She was so much fun to be with,
as we explored each stall.

She kept telling me about a girl with a "big hat"
So we walked all over trying to find her.

We found her!
The Balloon Girl!
Ila May asked her for a pink Unicorn.

Notice she has her purse.
Such a girly-girl!

We took a break for some homemade, cherry, pie and

 some ice water!

Ila May has already requested
that we go again!

She's growing up so nicely.
On the way home we drove with the top down
on my Volkswagen Beetle,

So much fun!!

  2. You're such a cool grandmother, Christine. What girl wouldn't love a day like that, topped off with a ride in a convertible. Really! Ila May is such a pretty girl; love her smile. You can see how much she's enjoying herself. I like your comment about your unique and beautiful brother. That's just how I feel about mine. Hugs, Nancy

  3. So glad you enjoyed your family. Those tulips are beautiful. I love tulips but have never tried my hand at planting and growing any. Ila May is beautiful like her grandmother. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Hi Christine!

The tulips are pretty...at every stage! I love visits from family, although most of mine live pretty close, it's still fun to visit.

The farmer's market is so fun. I've only been to ours a few times, I need to go again. Your little granddaughter is so cute, I love seeing those little misses with their cute purses...adorable!

My sister has a little black bug that we like to zip around in, they are so much fun!

    Have a wonderful week-end!!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb
