Stephanie (daughter-in-law) had a birthday party Friday night.
Copper River Salmon
Tom and I drove down to help celebrate.

Our gift was a basket full of all kinds of Lavendar products.
On our trip to Oregon this summer, we stopped at
a Lavendar farm and just went crazy buying things for Stephanie!
The girl loves Lavendar!
Copper River Salmon
Todd, the chef, served the most delicious salmon.

A chill in the air calls for a fire to keep warm.

~Next Day~
We babysat or should I say, baby sat on Tom.
Levi's mommy wasn't feeling well. Daddy and big sister went to get
some camping equipment. Kimmy stayed home and rested.
This was the first time we had Levi all by himself.
This little guy is walking all over the place!

Hey, with shoes like these, he was meant to walk.
Yes, it was a fun and fulling weekend.

Bug-Free Room•
Put a couple of drops of lavender or peppermint essential oil on a cool light bulb to help repel bugs.
Place several drops of oil of lavender or peppermint on a cotton ball or two. Put them into a small jar or margarine container. Poke a few holes in the lid and cover. Put around the room.
Did you say a "chill in the air"? Can't imagine such a thing in August, but how divine. Love the "baby sat on Tom." (hehe) Too cute.
ReplyDeleteChristine,
ReplyDeleteWhat a very fun weekend!
We LOVE Copper River Salmon, looks like Todd was fixing it up perfectly!
I can't believe how big Levi is getting, they grow up so fast!
I hope Kimmy is feeling better.
When is the big camping trip?

Looks like a great weekend, and Levi is adorable. Looking forward to those times. Jackie
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things about this post are your son's facial expression in the 2nd picture, and TOM'S SOCKS!!! :) An awesome weekend for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I could go for some of that grilled salmon...YUMMMO :)
I am curious if their "curbside garden" provided any food for your celebration?
ReplyDeleteMary, funny you should ask... on my way in, I helped myself to some raspberries and some cherry tomatoes. Even thought about taking a picture. The garden turned out great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun celebration! It looks like your daughter in law really enjoyed her gifts of lavendar.
ReplyDeleteThe party looked fun. Bummer we had to miss. Thank you so much for watching Levi. That helped so much and I think I'm all better!! Love you!!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this post??
ReplyDeleteI'm quite the lavender gal myself. I can almost smell it all across the web...
That little guy is a real cutie. I love the orange crocs...
