"Want to go see our new van?", asked Kimmy.
"Sure!", I said.
"It's in Bozman,Montana!", answered Kimmy.
"That's 552 miles, one way!", I said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thus, was the start of our long weekend adventure.
Along the way we missed the "Opportunity" exit.
Didn't take the Tokio exit either.
Drove by Manhattan and Amsterdam.
Little difficult to read but...
no, we didn't go to the Testicle Festival.
We were going to Bozman, Montana to
pick up a new vehicle !
Cute... but not this one!
A Red, 15 passenger van, nicked named,
Bozman by Lulu.
Mark just calls in Bozo.
Here we are right after Mark signed the papers, driving away.
After a 24 hours driving, the windshield is pretty messy.
And being in the car that long,
you go a bit stir crazy.
So you take pictures of your daughter, taking picture of you.
Our second night, on our way back home,
we stayed with Aunt Linda
(my sister-in-law, husband Tom's sister)
Aunt Linda has a cutest studio apartment in Missoula, Montana.
Yee Haw, Cowboy
Before we left to go back home,
Aunt Linda took us on a tour of her city.
Look, we all can fit in one car!
We said our good-by's and then headed home.
Lunch break...
for entertainment I handed over my camera to
4 year old Lulu.
Kimmy, buy her a camera, she's good!
Scenes from the road trip:
Windmills in Eastern Washington
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Cascade Mountains, Washington
So, the next time you head out on a road trip
be sure to take your camera.
You never know where you will find....
(Google pictures)
Kimmy has a lot more of our adventures
over on her blog.
I can't beleive how fast that trip went. Thanks for going with us.
ReplyDeleteThe best man from my wedding lives in Bozman. Too bad we would have to add another couple of thousand miles, or we could have road tripped with you.
ReplyDeleteYou are SUCH a family after my own heart. I loved the signs.
Missed Opportunity? That's priceless.
And the Testicle Festival? LOL I guess that's what some folks around here call mountain oysters?
I said some folks... not I.
What a ride!! LOL! Too fun! I love that pink, is is a cadillac? Getting to visit family along the way was a bonus and Lulu is a great little photographer. Have a great week! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS!! Do you ever stop!?!?! That looked like such an awesome time! I love road trips!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should have bought that pink car and you and Tom could've hit the highway home in that!!! :) :) :)
HaHaHa Hope you get some rest before your next adventure!!
Christine,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun summer trip! Love the signs along the way! Wayne and I actually picked the name of our frist puppy off the Willoughby, NY sign on our honeymoon! A year later we welcome our choclate brown lab Willoughby into our family! My only question???? In what time frame will Mark and Kimmy fill this new van up? ;)
I enjoyed your trip. Thanks so much for posting this. I laughed by myself! Of course 'red' is my favorite color. You had some interesting fodder to blog. Good photos, and I'm always intrigued with road signs. What kind of festival? People can be gross, can't they? Yea, we'd like to take our grandkids to that!
ReplyDeleteYou guys know how to have fun!
Deb :D
ReplyDeleteChristine, this post was so funny. I laughed out loud several times. :) I didn't know you had such a comical side. It looks good on you, girl. That "testicle farm" was a bit shocking, huh?
ReplyDeleteNice van, by the way.
Sounds like you all had a wonderful time, Christine! I'd love to be cruising in that pink Cadillac! I wish I could spend some time in "Inspiration" too!
ReplyDeleteHow come Tom didn't go along? It didn't have anything to do with the "Testicle Festival, did it?" hahahaha
Blessings!
Wow...you covered a lot! I love the Inspiration Sign. If only it were that easy!
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteTom works weekends but if he could, he would of loved to go.
Well you have sure been making the most of summer...love the van!! Love the name also. Now Montana...well my parents served as missionaries there one year...that is about all I know about that state.
ReplyDeleteGreat trip...thanks for the ride...now I do love that camper button at the end...I want a camper again.
Christine! Thanks so much for visiting me at The Writer's Reverie and introducing yourself. Hope you visit often - as I plan to with you. Loved your road trip! How alert you were along the way to have your camera ready for the road signs that made for an entertaining blog trip. I lived two years in Idaho Falls and remember the scenery well. Blessing to you in our journeys!
ReplyDeleteJoy!
Miss Kathy
I haven't been blog visiting lately and I missed this trip you had taken. Whew-the things we do for our kids!
ReplyDeleteBut it looks like you got to visit your in-laws, so that was fun.
I'm kinda getting the drift you like road trips. Am I wrong?
