The Positive Dog by Jon Gordan
"True," said Bubba,"but I'm talking deeper than that.
Faith and fear both believe in a future that hasn't happened yet.
Fear believes in a negative future,
Faith believes in a positive future.
So I ask you, if neither the positive or negative future has happened yet,
why not choose to believe in the positive future?"
Zoom.
ReplyDeleteThat little statement goes right to the heart of it. I need to frame that.
Faith... the belief in things unseen!
ReplyDeleteGreat words!

HI Christine,
ReplyDeleteOK...I LOVE that blurb you posted. Sounds like a wonderful book and right up my alley.
Thanks for posting it...very salient and very timely and very very very wise:)
Nice to be talking with you again too.
We are back from the cabin in the woods. Great visit. Lots of family. Annual Family Reunion type thing on my husbands side of the family. Lots of food and lots of laughter.
Yet, it is always good to come home to your own bed:)
And oh yeah, I nearly forgot to mention this:
AHEM...is TODAY a MONDAY that MIGHT have any significance in your LIFE????????
CONGRATULATIONS on Being Retired!!!
I am so very excited for you.
When you woke up this morning, did it feel like a Monday during summer break? Or did you wake up smiling knowing that today is the First Monday of Retirement???
Eager to know how you spent the day.
And Eager for it to be MY turn one day!
In HIM,
Grace
What a neat little excerpt from that book! Thanks for posting it. I've always thought a positive outlook is a great survival technique. You can push on with a smile or you can be miserable. And you, Chris, have always seemed like a positive person to me! Love that about you!
ReplyDeleteGreat words to live by.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Christine! That will keep us thinking all day!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteStanding and applauding here...thanks soooooooooooooo much...good, good quote!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great read Christine, and what a great challenge! Wishing you a very blessed and happy 4th of July celebration.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
LOVE THAT!!! :)
ReplyDeleteA good book goes a long way. Hope you are having a happy day, my friend. :)
our approach towards present affect out future.if we are so much embraced by our present and tr to figure out its hidden beauty ,the future fear will possibly wont have any chance.
ReplyDeleteThis inspired me today. Worries about the future are useless. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a book that I would like to read.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great lesson to be learned here. I've always been a glass-half-full kind of gal, but sometimes I let worry cloud my vision, when it shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteCount me in on the positive. :) I have found that it takes a lot of energy to be negative. It's like holding on to a grudge. The grudge is consumed with negative but forgiveness pulls the positive.
ReplyDeletePlease dont think Im just looking to copy you, but I like the formatof this website.
