Trey Day

Some of you already know that I take care of my
18 month old, grandson on Tuesdays.
The teacher in me loves to be creative
 and have fun doing it.

I have taught Trey some sign language,
which has really come in handy.
When he wants to eat, is thirsty or wants more
he let's me know by signing these words.
He also knows and signs the words
  dog, airplane, and listen.
He understands a lot more words.
The sign for NO is one that comes to mind!

I try not to say the words that we have learned
and that he understands.
I'll sign, sit and shoes
He then goes to his little chair,
climbs up and sits, while I get his socks and shoes on.
After his shoes are on,
we take out the garbage and recycle.
This is one of Trey's jobs.

Routine and consistence has been the key!

Last Tuesday I decided to have a cooking class.
We made cookies.

After baking, we cleaned up and emptied the dishwasher.
It was a great day.

I always look forward to my days with Trey.
They are always full of love, excitement, hugs and kisses.

Getting Ready...

This week has been exciting and memorable.
As many of you know, I really enjoy looking at signs.
Signs on building, churches, parking lots,
 windows, just about anywhere!
For the past few months is has been
  s-l-o-w  in the, Sign Department.

But now that the Seahawks are in the Superbowl,
the signs have come out and are countless.
It's been like a tennis match,
my head goes back and forth,
side to side!

First of all,
The 12th Man is EVERYWHERE!

1. store fronts
2. displays in stores
3. office doors
4. the zoo
5. the sides of whole buildings
6. top of buildings
7. the stadium
8. parking lots
9. loved ones

Blue and Green
are displayed in countless way.

1. downtown Redmond restaurant
2. downtown Bellevue, Crate & Barrel
3. office doors
4. TV shows
5. the zoo, again
6. store front display - Prom Dresses
7. downtown Seattle's Art Museum
8. facebook
9. the Big Wheel in Seattle

Some of my favorites...

While in line at the Pharmacy,
I looked up and both the customer and
clerk were wearing Seahawk gear.

I worked subbing at a school this week,
each office door was decorated.

This is one of my favorites.
Very subtle,
 Prom dresses on display.

And of course,
one of my favorite places to read great one liners.

Then there is,
 The Finger Art.

Go Seahawks!
You have added so much color and excitement to our region.
Now I can't wait for this weeks signs!
You know I'll be looking.

SICK

Down and out lately.

I didn't take a picture of ME because it's
not a picture I want on the web.
So, I choose one that is a lovely depiction of how
I wished I looked.
The above picture almost makes you want to be sick.

When in reality this is how I felt...

Ugh!

I have to get better real soon because
the BIG GAME
is approaching!

Go Seahawks!

The 12th Man is all the football fans.
A football team has 11 players on the field.
With the crowd so loud, they have nick-named them
the 12th Man who helps with noise during the game.

Parisian New Year Eve - 2014

This year Tom and I celebrated New Years Eve,
Parisian style.
Our celebration started a little before 3:00 PM,
 Pacific Northwest time,
 which was midnight in Paris.
Because Tom works strange hours,
this was our answer to celebrating the new year together.

We invited some of our neighbors, too!
Because of my infatuation for all things Parisian,
I had plenty of decorations, with Eiffel Towers galore,
I even played my "Paris" CD's!
(some of you might remember that I even named one of the rooms in our old home, Paris)
