Fall Fun List

Monday mornings, I usually head on down to our church to help out.
I guess you can call me "the church lady".
The weather has been very stormy
with wind and lots of rain.
I was looking forward to my walk in the rain and
checking it off my Fall Fun list.
These are the two trees in our front yard.
One on either side of our driveway.
Last night's storm left the sidewalks and
 gardens littered with branches.
Praise God, no damage!

Fall View

I opened our front door
(that's our front door on the header)
on this warm, Fall afternoon and this is what I saw.

A huge spider's web that was lite up by the sunshine.
But no spider.

Lucy basking in the warmth. I think she's smiling!

The tomato plant that has seen it's last few days.
 Still has some green fruit.

Another Phone Call

I received sweet phone call from Kimmy the other day.
"Can you help me with a project?"
"Sure!", I said, without questioning.

Kimmy, Homeschools her children.
Lulu is now "First Grade" and
Levi and Ila May are in "Preschool".

Kimmy saw this blog site, about Busy Bags.
She thought this idea could help keep
 Levi and Ila May busy,
while she has one-on-one with Lulu.

Weaving, Puzzles and so much more.
Perfect for the little ones.

This activity is a Foam Shape Puzzle.
The child copies and matches the left hand side
with the loose pieces, on the right side.

I was having so much fun making these items..........

Then this happened!

Little Miss Ila May was going down a slide and caught
her foot on the side of the slide and fractured her tibia.

Before a loved one goes down a slide, read this:

Ila May is doing just fine.

Now, the Busy Bags items are in fast production!
I'm busy making more Busy Bag items.

Another Trey Day!

This past week I had the privilege of taking care of Trey, two days in a row!
 WE HAD FUN!

The top pictures are of him playing with a bag.
So simple and kept him busy for a long time.

Bottom two pictures are of him learning how to stack blocks.
He gets so excited when he does it.

The weather has been warm and beautiful.
There that hint of Fall!
This day, he was curious about a rake
with some leaves stuck in the prongs.

And yes, he has just learned to walk!!
How fun!
Trey is all boy!

Boise Boy

~My Cowboy~

Levi turned 4 years old.
Last weekend Tom and I drove to Boise to celebrate.

Levi enjoys Davy Crockett, John Wayne
and anything that has a cowboy in it.
Tom and I gave him Cowboy Boots and Sheriff pin.
Todd and Stephanie got him the Coonskin Cap.
One happy Cowboy!

Everyone had fun trying on their favorite
 Cowboy or Cowgirl boots.

Fall List

I had so much fun making and checking off things from my Summer List,
 that I thought I'd do a
Fall List.

I know Fall doesn't start officially for a few weeks.
For me the day after Labor Day is when it starts.
I've worked in schools for years, so when the bells ring, it's Fall.
Another reason Fall starts now is because, well,
have you been outside?
The sun is setting earlier and rising much later.

The calendar might not say Fall but in my mind does.

Summer List Completed...

( and just in time! )

Todd and Stephanie read about my Summer List.
They noticed I still needed to ride a ferry boat.
We decided to celebrate Stephanie's birthday and take Trey on his first ferry boat ride.
What a great day!

The last thing on my Summer List
was to dine alfresco by the water.
We did that too!

We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island.
Once there, we drove around and found the perfect spot to open presents, eat and play in the water.

Then we headed home.
What a great day!

Good-bye Summer.
It was so much fun.
