Fall Is In The Air

 Say it isn't so!
Trees are starting to turn from green
 to fall their colors.

 Shadows are l-o-n-g.

Tom and I are trying to get as many
bicycle rides in as possible.

We rode over to the last, free, open air concert of the season.
Each week there were different types of musical performances
held at our local shopping center.
(the one with now famous orange couches)

We parked our bikes and found a table.

People watching was high on the docket.
The weather was still warm enough
 for the little ones,
to enjoy playing in the water fountains.

Yes, it feels like Fall!

Here are some baby Trey pictures.
Todd and Stephanie had
professional pictures taken the other day.
Tom and I were invited to come
along to watch and join in.

Cooper their chocolate lab and Trey.

 Three generations.
Grandpa Tom, Daddy Todd
and baby Trey.

Someone asked me about the name Trey.
It's Norwegian for the number three.
As Stephanie told me,
Trey makes them now a family of three.

Trey, the little Norski

Retirement?

I could resist taking this picture of me painting the sky.

This week has been another busy week.
Tom and I are working hard to get our
 "old" home ready to rent.
We are cleaning, painting and doing a lot of gardening.
Sometimes it is hard for me to let go of our old home.
When I am cleaning something,
it brings back so many memories that
happened in that room or place.
I have to admit I had a tear or two.
 I still love this house
But I know God has a plan for us.

Plus, I couldn't resist showing you more
 baby Trey pictures.

One week today!

Great Week!

 Wednesday Trey was born!
I also spent Saturday evening
 hugging and kissing him.
It was fun to relive his birth with
Todd and Stephanie.
Great memories!

 Friday Lulu came over.
It was nap time for the other two.
Perfect time to try out our baking skills.

 She made Banana Bread.

After sampling a slice of warm bread,
she took the rest home for
Levi and Ila May
(and Mommy and Daddy)

We also played Polly Pockets.
Do you remember these?

A Star Is Born!

~On our way to the hospital's birth center.~

Trey is his name.
I love him!

Stephanie called me to ask about this "pain"
and as we were talking, her water broke.
"I'm on my way!", I said.
I met them at their home and
later on we drove to the Birth Center.

Long story short.
Trey was born Wed. Aug 22 at 12:31 PM.
Stephanie went natural and it was a long hard 23 hours!!!!!!
 I'm tired and very happy!
I got home yesterday (Wed.) around 3:00 PM.
I took a napped and then went to bed.

Aug. 23, 2012
Things are looking up.

A huge crane drove up to deliver
pipes for the air conditioning.
I ran out and "interviewed" the delivery guy
to find out more about the process.
I'll spare you all the details.

All this took place in front of our Cottage.
I think the guys are getting use to
 having their pictures taken.
They even smile : ) for the camera now!

How many Cups in a Pint?

There are 2 Cups in a Pint
There are 2 Pints in a Quart
There are 4 Quarts in a Gallon

Two “C’s” fit inside a “P,” two “P’s” fit inside a “Q,”
and four “Q’s” fit inside a “G.”

How cool is this?

I found this on Jill's blog

Gross, Fruit Flies!

It's that time of the year for those annoying Fruit Flies!
My kitchen is full of them,
especially when I have bananas around.

Here is the trick to getting rid those pesky bugs.
Mary over at Organization Matters shows you
how, step by step.

This is my first attempt.
Within 10 minutes I had several.

I'm on my third wine glass "full".
Yea!
You've got to try this because it works!
My kitchen is almost Fruit Flyless!

Naploeon meets Cesar

~Lucy~

It's been 6 months since Lucy's "brother",
 Arthur passed away.
It was about that same time, I started watching

Lucy is small, I mean really small, 3lbs. small.
But oh, what a bark!
She would even growl and show her teeth.
I called it the Napoleon Syndrome.
If you were in the wrong spot and the right time,
Lucy would nipped your leg.
(eek!)

Walking Lucy was a chore.
She didn't like it at all.
Plus, I could never find her when
we were heading out the door.
She'd be hiding!

Now, after watching Cesar's shows and getting a few tools,
Lucy is a changed dog.

~Ready~

 ~Got her prance on~

 ~Major pit stop~

 ~Almost home~

~Like a horse heading for the barn~

Now I'm the Pack Leader,
thanks to Cesar.
