Several Stories
( all of these stories have been in the "cooker" for a while.
Today it's time to unleash them.)

Story #1

The whole family, all 7 of them , got sick at the same time,
except one, Little Isaac.
So he came to spent the day and night with Papa and Grammie-goo..

  Isaac and Banjo became
great pals!

Isaac is showing Banjo a trick. (??)

Daily walks are important for everyone.

The contest was to call in with an unusual name
 of your child or grandchild.

Ila May's
name WON!

l
The prize...
 two free yogurt treats!
And you could add as many toppings as you wanted.

On the way home we had the top down.
That always makes any outing special.

Story #3

Swimming!

Kimmy and Mark's neighbors encouraged them to use their pool!
For several years,
Tuesday and Thursdays were open to them, only.
All kids learned to swim in this pool.

Sadly, their neighbors are moving
 so this was the last
hurrah!
Thank you !
 It's been so much fun.

by enjoying some time away.

Tom and I had fun, with the kids.

whole park!

Every ride and slide were kid tested!

Who says you are too old to ride the pony ride?

I couldn't resist taking pictures of
his method!

I'm sure our neighbors were confused

Story #7

I am having eye surgery in a few days.
To prepare, I had both cataracts removed.

I can see without glasses!

My next surgery is to repair the hole in my macula.

This surgery is easy but the recovery is really different.
I need to be
FACE DOWN
for a week!

So I'll be gone for awhile.

A Stay At Home Grandma

Tom and I have elected to stay home
 as much as possible.

We have keep up our reading the Bible, from start to finish.
Right now we are at the end of Psalms.
I find this book to be very pertinent!

We have our Clorox Wipes going full time!
Vitamins for breakfast, eating a spoonful of chopped garlic before lunch and gargling salt water before bed.

But before we confined ourselves to home, we took Banjo to the Vet to get his Rabies shot.

All his shots are now completed!
Someone said that this picture of him,
looks like he is smiling!

Social Distancing, a new term for me.

I take Banjo for  walks several times a day.
I use this time for training.
He is learning to sit when I stop, without me telling him.
To walk next to me without pulling on the leash.
and to be polite to others we see.

But he doesn't understand Social Distancing, yet!

Mr. Pickles ( our neighbors dog) and Banjo
just don't have it in them to keep their distance.

We don't confine ourselves completely to our home.
We take Banjo for practice Car Rides, for the future.

Banjo enjoys the window down.

I even think he fell asleep looking out the window.

The other day I organized and took an inventory
of what we have on hand in our garage pantry.
While out in the garage with me,
Banjo saw himself for the first time in the hubcap.

He curious and couldn't figure it out.
It was so funny, I just had to take a picture.

I'm keeping busy at home.
I brought out Susie, my sewing machine,

We have 5 birthdays coming up real soon!

Three little boys are getting
Paw Patrol Pillowcases!

Three presents down, two to go!

So, tell me, how you are doing at this time?
If you are staying home, what are you doing to keep busy?

I know I have read a lot more, especially about how to keep healthy.

I really like how others are sharing their information on recipes, thoughts, prayers, health, home school ideas and just just about anything else helpful.

Do you have any?

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

All Is Well...

December birthdays are always exciting!
After recovering from being sick, we celebrated mine.

This is our third year going for a carriage ride in downtown Boise.
All the kids, big and small were thrilled and
excited to, trot through town.

The horse hoofs clamp, clamp on the pavement,
and the bells jingled, as we all shouted out,
🎄Merry Christmas!
to those who stopped to look.

A little rain didn't keep us, Seattle natives,
from enjoying this thrill.

Bob, the horse,
even popped up his head for this picture!

Back at the house, I opened some
very special birthday gifts
from each child!

What's a birthday without cake and ice cream??

Nathan thought we were singing to him.
So cute!

After celebrating my birthday,
(all week long!)

I had some Kitchen Helpers over.

Chex Mix !
Easy and fun for the kids to make
and eat.

I just stood back and watched!
They are getting so big.

Can you tell they took over my kitchen?
I sure do enjoy Christmas break!!

Later in the week, a few grands came over
and we made Christmas trees out of
pine cones, ornaments for their tree.

🌲 🌲 🌲 🌲 🌲

Here a babysitting hint!

Buy colorful, plastic cups
and let the kids have fun
building!

It doesn't matter what age,
they all love to build.
The higher the better.

And so much fun when it falls down.

Ahhhh.... satisfaction and smiles!

Well done Isaac!

One More Time!

Mark and Kimmy bought an RV that sleeps 10!
Let's go Camping!!

The RV that sleeps 10

So that's what we did.
Tom and I packed our 2 person RV.

The RV that sleeps 2

It's the end of the camping season, so there were plenty of spots available.
We got two that were side by side with a
big patch of grass in between each RV.

The bikes were unpacked and the kids were off!
Papa was a kid again and joined in the fun.

Tom even joined in some wrestling matches
with Silas and Isaac.

Their new RV is so big,
that the girls have their own bunk beds.

Here's Lulu in her bunk, showing us her window.

Levi was in charge of the wood chopping.
Silas "supervising" his older brother.

We were surprised when a fellow camper,
pulled up in
the very same RV as ours.

Here we are enjoying the camp fire and Levi's hard work.
In between the crackling of the fire, we heard coyotes howling!

Freaky!!

Must be Fall because the mornings were COLD!
Nothing like a hot cup of coffee, to warm you up.

Lulu found a quiet place to write.
The back door of our RV opens up!

Another quiet spot... in the shade.
Papa giving out back scratches.

Ila May did a lot of drawing in her sketch book.
She is getting really good!

Lulu and I went on a bike ride and
found a perfect spot for a selfie.

In the mornings we had visitors.
Or what I called, our Alarm Clocks !

Move over Grammie-Goo and Papa!

Yes... you can get 7 people in our
2 person van!
