Boycotting, Blackballing & Bulling

It seems that our country is
on one side or the other.

Left vs. Right
Conservative vs. Liberal
Republican vs. Democrat

My own family members and friends have taken sides.
It has left me heart broken,
because they have either boycotted, blackballed or bullied
me for my views, opinions and beliefs.

Yes, I've been "blackballed".
(to shunned, cast aside)

Yes, I've been "boycotted".
(to abstain from dealing with, intimidation or coercion)

Yes, OH YES, I've been "bullied".
(a quarrelsome, over bearing person who habitually badgers and intimate)

Really??
Why??
Are they scared?
Yes!!!!

I'm going to forgive and pray for them.
I am going to use words that are soft, loving or none at all.
They are not going to stop me from living for the glory of God.
I'm trusting God!

Another Kind of March!

We all have heard about the march
in Washington D.C.
and all over the country.

While they were marching,
so were Tom and I!

Ours was a quiet and simple walk/march.
But really important.

The March For Life!

We walked to the Idaho's Capital building,
 in Boise.

The Tale of Our Garbage Can and Two more Signs

I would like to think,
that "our" humor comes out more,
 during tough or trying times.
At least,
it has for some,
when it comes to snow.

First;
The Tale of Our Garbage Can

Top left: First week, no garbage pick up
Top right:Second week, no garbage pick up
Bottom left: Third week, no garbage pick up
Bottom right: Fourth week, no garbage pick up.

A whole month of NO garbage pick up

Then one day, during the 5th week of no pick up,
I heard a loud noise.
I ran to the window with camera in hand.

BINGO!

And now,
because you have endured the garbage pictures,
Two funny snow related signs!

Below: look at all that snow!

Same sign, only from a distance,

You Know I Had To Blog About This!

Snow, Snow, Snow and more Snow!

We have a covered back patio
 that was full of snow.
And with all the snow and now rain,
it started to bow in the middle.

Tom to the rescue!

But first, he had to get ready....

Once he was ready, he went out and
tried to remove the snow with a long-handled brush.

  It wasn't enough!

Our Son-in-law, Mark, came over to
help. Together, they reinforced and braced
the sagging patio roof.

Well done Boys!

Icicles

They look like they are decorations
but
they are not.
 They are real.

This icicle touches the snow that is on the ground.

Icicles everywhere you look.

Even our home has icicles.

Do we knock them down
or leave them up?
I have heard both ways.
If we knock them down, it might damage the gutters.
If we don't knock them down, it could be a dangerous.

This was the temperature last night.
Baby, it's cold outside!

Hey, Tom...isn't God amazing?

Playtime!

Tom and I went over to play in the snow
with our grandchildren.

With new, powdered snow and chains on,
we were ready in minutes.

The snow was hip-high for Silas.
But his buddy, Papa was there to help.

 The kids made an igloo
out of the snowman
from the first snowfall.

We walked around their yard in knee high snow.
Got my workout in for the day!

If you fell down, which we all did,
it was a soft landing.

I think we'll all remember this

Record Snow Fall

We received 15 inches total, since Dec.15th.
Today, it snowed all day and all night.
**BEAUTIFUL**
Tom and I went for an evening snow walk.
This is our home.
We've kept our Christmas light up, for now.

It was so beautiful, even Tom got into
taking pictures.

This is looking down our street.
So quiet and light.

Around every corner, we came across
cars that were stuck.
It was so wonderful to see others were helping them dig out.

Even Tom helped out.
That's him, in the picture on the right.
He's holding the "flash light" on his phone,
The guy on the ground was hooking up a tow.

We are enjoying it for now.
Next week it will disappear.
